There is lots of transparency in Lenoir City Hall. The little blonde wears see through blouses and ragged worn out bras and the brunette wears her pants so tight you can see the lines of her granny panties.
LMAO!! Good One!!

Yes I've noticed that. If you being a woman notice that, you can bet men notice it. Do you think that's what they intend?

This story has been gong around town for two weeks. Why is it the News Sentinel, which doesnt even have a reporter covering Loudon county, can scoop these stories up beneath the nose of the News Herald?
I've been watching to see if that new clown at the NH is any better than the old clown. I guess he's not.
The News herald could hire a journalism student from Pellisippi to run that rag better than the current crew.
Today is Sunday February 5 and the story is in the News Herald. I think they find their stories by reading News Sentinel, Pat Hunter and Van Shaver. Or maybe they just read topix.

I think the News Herald is very biased when it comes to CERTAIN local Politicos, and when publishing news when it involves these CERTAIN Politicos, especially behind those not so transparent almighty City Hall walls. Thanks Topix keep up the good work.

I'm glad to hear all of this. My taxes are due and I'll save a stamp if it looks that good. What are their names?

Kind of trashy, isn't it?

The Lenoir City Civil Service Board Thursday upheld the city's decision to dismiss Julie Harvey, Lenoir City deputy clerk.

A written ruling is expected in the next two or three days.

Harvey appealed the dismissal with the civil service board after she was fired for reportedly making a cigarette accessible to a Loudon County Jail inmate and altering a check.

"The committee thought the city provided a preponderance of evidence to support their case," said Bill Ghormely, secretary of the civil service board said.

City Recorder/Treasurer James W. Wilburn III declined to comment on the hearing.

According to a statement of disciplinary action by the city, Harvey was reported Jan. 5 for allegedly providing contraband - a cigarette - to a Loudon County Jail inmate, but Wilburn said the disciplinary action was also taken because she altered a property tax check from a customer on Dec. 30, 2011.

Another incident on April 12, 2011, in which she was reprimanded for unauthorized use of a computer, also influenced his and City Administrator Dale Hurst's decision to dismiss Harvey.

Harvey has been a deputy clerk with the City of Lenoir City since Aug. 27, 2007, according to her employment record.

It's not sad that an overpaid bureaucratic flunkie who isn't qualified to work at Burger King gets caught goofing off and thinks she can't be fired. I guess she knows better now and that is not sad.

Jimbo, before going to city hall she worked for the county clerk Wampler. She was probably the most qualified one there. But I think she also is not related to any judges, mayors, or council members. That kind of thing is important.
If she did everything listed in Kathy's post they do have cause to fire her. But that is not how they decide those things.

I'll bet she'd be the most qualified girl on her shift at Burger King too, but that doesn't mean she was fit for public service.
