I have been praying for Keith Maupin and his family for five years, and I am so glad the Maupin family can at least have their son back and not have to wonder for the rest of their lives.

I am sorry for their loss, but please know that your son served proudly and the men and women of his unit loved him very much.

Mr. Maupin's parents have my sympathy, and my prayers. May their son rest in peace, and may they find solace now that his body will be returned to them.

I'm not a religious person but you and your husband/family will be in my thoughts.
I have much respect for those who are serving our country. You are all very brave and I thank you.

All of America owes a debt of gratitude to it's armed forces who put their lives on the line every day just like Sgt Maupin did. The sensible and sound strategy of engaging the enemy at the greatest possible distance is lost on some people but it helps protect us here at home. My salute to Sgt Maupin.

You're about 50 years out of date with that one. The military industrial complex was put on notice by President Dwight Eisenhower. Safeguards have been in place for 50 years to ensure that the military and the defense industry answer to the Federal government and are accountable for their service performance. The defense industry is one of the few American industries that has not sent massive amounts of American jobs overseas. Defense spending benefits the American economy and the American people. The military provides protection to fulfill the number one obligation of the Federal government and that is defense of national borders and protection of American interests abroad. The absolute primary responsibility of the American government is national defense. We can all sleep safely at night knowing that we have the finest professional military in the world. The best trained, the best equipped, the most educated, the most experienced, and the best motivated military force compared to any other country. Most importantly, the American population supports its troops and cries when they are harmed. Our troops are precious to us and we appreciate them a great deal.

The photo on the news shows Maupin on his knees and defenseless. Around him stood five or six masked cowards. Get our troops out you pice of cowardly scum Bush. I hope he died quickly and my love to his family.

I've watched this family fight over the last 4 years to keep his memory fresh and to keep the Army looking for him. Although sad I'm glad that at least he will be returned home so his family can have some closure to this long ordeal no family should have to face.

I'm going to leave up my yellow ribbon until all of our troups come home.

I just saw Maupin's mother on t.v. As a mother it really hits home when you see a mother anguish over the lost of a child. My heart goes out to the family and friends of Maupin.

And as for all of our miltary, I pray for each and everyone for their safe return.

Thank you Sgt. Maupin for your service.
