Does Pennington to Ravens sound good? He'd be an upgrade over Kyle, he wouldn 't cost much, he's a passionate gamer and leader, he might be good to mentor Flacco and Smith and he's smart and cool under pressure. Discuss please, without profanity and hostility.

Here in Baltimore, we've been watching Boller for so long that we forget that most third-string QBs on other teams are better than he is.

Truth wrote: Packers have got to be the dumbest organization on the planet. I will be LMAO when Rogers proves ineffective after about 3 weeks into the season........absolutely unbelievable. Truth - you speak the truth! I'm not a big Packers fan or Bret Favre fan either. But I've got to wonder about the stupidity of the Green Bay organization. Here they are coming off their most successful season in the last 10 years and Favre is coming off of his most successful season in the last 10 years. They should be trying to make it to the Super Bowl. I still can't believe that the Giants beat them at home in the Playoffs. They should have been begging Favre to come back instead of begging him to retire. What are the chances of the Packers even making it to the playoffs this year with Rodgers? Sometimes winning should be more important to your organization and your fans rather than how old your QB is.

Hes the most breakable QB out there, and you put him behind an inexperienced Ravens line (read inexperienced as nice for "stinks")... we'll have flacco in their by the 2nd half of the first game, with pennington limping off the field and cluthcing his wrist.

Yes, when you are an employee of an organization (i.e. The Packers organization), you should do what is best for the organization today...future plan yes..but part of a future plan is always being flexible.....especially when all you have to do to upgrade is give Brett a uniform......this will mark the downward spiral of the organization for the next few years.........and a few heads will roll.

Hey idiot......how are they losing the first round pick by keeping Favre?......your post makes no sense at all.

Tim wrote: TRUTH - I need you to post more comments. They're hilarious. Pack front office couldn't have handled this situation any more poorly. BTW...the Pack is an organization wholely owned by the fans. When the Rodger's experiement goes bust, which will probably be in the first game (he's played in two games and got injured in both), the organization will likely ask for the resignation of the coach and GM. Both of which are idiots and clearly don't understand the culture that preceeded them. on the mark Tim!!!!!

The coverage of this has been the most disgusting I have ever witnessed. Why does this guy constantly get a pass and is literally worshipped??? This whole circus was brought on by HIM and HIM alone! And your not going to tell me like these pinheads in the media do that this guy is "loved" throughout the League. Another spoiled multi millionare brat that thinks of nobody but himself. I'm hoping the Jets go 0-16 and then lets see how much N.Y. fans "love" him!

NYC via MD wrote: Jets wins prediction 12-4 As stupid as the Green Bay management is for not wanting to take a shot at the Super Bowl this year with Favre, I also have to wonder about Brett's brain as well. If I were him, I'd want to go to a team that has a legitimate chance to contend. I know that he wants to play football, but I doubt that he will make a difference with the Jets. The only good thing I have to say about this move is that the Jets want him because obviously the Packers didn't. They'll give him a chance and this will spark interest among fans throughout the country. However, I would have stayed retired rather than get kicked around from team to team at the end of my career.

Those vulture NY media and fans will be looking into his sexual identity. Welcome to N.Y. Good comment - I have to think that alot will be expected of Brett and the media will be on him. Unfortunately, he doesn't have the supporting cast around him like he did last year in Green Bay. He's in for a rude awakening. Also, the Packers management is in for a rude awakening when Rodgers gets injured in the preseason and they get off to a slow start because they don't have a QB. It's like a soap opera will two plots going on at the same time. Many fans around the country are sick and tired of reading about the Favre story and are hoping it's over. Unfortunately, I think that the craziness is just about to start.
