The way this situation has come about is utter embarrassment if you ask me. Favre, why would you screw up your career like this? I mean, you've played in the NFL, and for Green Bay for nearly 15 years give or take, why not step down, retire even. Aaron Rodgers from Cal needs his chance to play in the big game, stop being selfish! That kid has been riding the bench for 3 seasons now, and if you come back it'll be longer. Too bad, San Fran didn't take Rodgers, he would have be stellar. Now, Alex Smith, is just another bench warmer. I mean, Smith doesn't even have a clear edge over O'Sullivan or for that matter Shaun Hill. I guarantee, that what ever Farve does, rather be to retire, move on to the Jets or Tampa Bay, when the time comes, people in Green Bay will not miss him. Rodgers will be a big play maker there, he just needs his chance! I lost all respect for Favre, when he said that he would not mentor Rodgers, and that Rodgers is on his own in the NFL. Great freakin' leadership from a veteran QB to say that about a rookie, talk about being a jealous S.O.B. not to mention greedy.

Favre is reminding me of a big whiney kid who's not being given his way.
I think he'll crash & burn when the spotlight is off him.
I feel for the Green Bay fans. The guy could have walked away tall--but he's deminished his image.

Yes he has. From here on out he's going to make it worse. The best thing he can do now is go to GB and compete for his job, keep his mouth shut and go to whoever the Pack trades him too. That is if he really wants to "play football".

It really is sad, especially for all the kids who looked at Favre as a hero. Sure--he has been a hero--100% UNTIL NOW!
Where does PLAY FAIR come into the picture with Favre---where is take a man at his word? Where is the positive example for young people?(ME-ME-ME $$$$$ is all I see)

Hey people yo have it all wrong !
Farve is doing it for the love of the game.
Farve has always been this way since he got the starting job in GB !
As for his future he will be playing with the Vikings as the starter...bet on it !
Not the Bucs or Jets as many are saying !
The Packer organzation sure knows not how to treat a key player ....just look back to Reggie White .
Reggie wanted to come back and Bob Harlin said no.
Even though Reggie recruited for the Packers all those years...What a way to say how much they care about thier star players ??????
Well Brett Farve is now being treated like some college kid ...that ain't right !
I'm sorry folks 257 consecitve starts 64000 yards passing...most touchdowns and more !
Breatt Farve proves his value every time he's on the field...He backs up his abilitys on the field .
Allot of players today just run thier mouth on how great they are...but have nothing more then medicore play on the field !
So as of this year I'm just a fan of every team who pounds the Packers and pounds Arron Rogers.
arron is so cocky and arrogant and already is running his mouth and causing bad press for himself...Telling the fans to sit down and shut up!
Who does he think he is ???????
That guy has allot to prove to me ...before I jump back on the Packer bandwagon !
Go Bears ...Go Vikings ...Go Lions ...any other team then the Pack with smart mouth Arron Rogers !
I hope Ted Tompson and Mike Mc carthy lose thier jobs at the end of the season !
You don't trash Brett Farve when he's been the best thing for 16 seasons ...and if we never had him I don't even want to know how bad we would be !

Hey Pal, you got it all wrong. First comes first, if your going to type something you may want to know how to spell first.

1.) Ability's (is actually spelled abilities)
2.) Thier (is actually spelled their)
3.) Allot (is actually spelled a lot)
Just to name a few misspelled words.

And to tell you, Rodgers can run his mouth however he likes...the Packers are his team now, so move on, and quit sucking on Farve's balls.

The Packers should offer him a starting job at no pay unless they reach the playoffs. We'll see if it for the love of the game or not.

If the report is true...that's it's now an open competition...the Pack are absolutely insane. What a kick in the shins for Rodgers, he should exit GB and go with a sane organization..

Oh, Brett's just mad because the Packers didn't roll out the red carpet and beg him back. Packers will be fine without him. As much as he would like to believe he was not the whole team.
