These stadium organizers are probably Tea-Party members on other issues who see no contradiction between opposing healthcare reform, yet want Us to build yet another stadium for billionaires and millionaires. No Way! IF there had been any logic to this whole stadium process, the Vikes and the Gophers would have been told to combine the design that was built on campus. I'm not interested in subsidizing the well-heeled who can afford tickets to have their subsidized play palace while more people go hungry. I agree with you here. The Twins play 81 home game a year, putting them outside in a new stadium was the top priority for getting out of the dome. The Gophers could have stadyed but they didnt deserve it any more than the vikings do. Both the vikings and gophers dont deserve new stadiums but I think building TCF bank stadium is much cheaper than building a new NFL stadium (especially if they want to put a roof on it). The nice thing about the gopher stadium is that it is on campus and I went to a game, it is awesome. The dome isnt a bad NFL venue (the vikes actually have an advantage playing in the dome so staying there isnt bad). But at this point, I would vote no more new stadiums....

Jeez, I hope this stadium issue is resolved, the bye week with no Viking game is BORING-imagine a season with no Vike games at all .

if the state doesnt do anything by 2011 the vikings will ge GONE!!!! yes thats right WILL BE GONE!!!!!! does anyone remember the MINNEAPOLIS LAKERS with all those championships and where did they end up in LOS ANGELES. the only time things get done is when its in the legislators best interest. also, does anyone remember that the anoka county had put into place a tax for the staduim to be built there, well when they decided not to build it there that the anoka county kept the tax in place anyways. so all you fricking whiners either get your asses involved and call, e-mail or write a letter to your representatives or shut the f*@^ up.

The only thing entitled to YOU is breathing the air of Minnesota. Your want leads to higher taxes and that is something that the citizens of Minnesota cannot afford. The amount of posters that want a stadium are just a small example of the Minnesota Citizens and what happens when they all move away because of high taxes? They owe you nothing. The problem is----I want a new stadium - what you want and what you get are two different things. Is this how you are living your life?

Sorry kid we aren't talking about the football game but if I must say so myself it seems like the viking fans can't stop themselves from posting about the storied franchise of the Packers. You know teams have good and bad years but I think the vikings bad years outway their good ones.

Defination of storied franchise
Has a history of championships and success. Willingness to spend and do what's needed to win...Professional in how they treat players, coaches and fans. Reverence for the game. Having a team for love of the game instead of love of the money(even if its' all money)

A team with many historical moments in history. Celtics, Lakers, Pistons etc. Same goes with every other sport like Yankees, Red Sox, Dodgers etc. for Baseball. Theres a lot of history and tradition with storied franchises.

I don't see the Vikings in there at all. Oh wait I do see one that is interesting.

No stadium means no Vikings.
No Vikings means relative obscurity.
Name a state that thrives without an NFL team.
