Good plan to showcase Smith to other teams. If Smith plays well, we may see him traded. We need an O-lineman and possibly a CB. Another QB can be picked up cheaply off the waiver wire before the season starts.

Wow! I am so excited that Troy will get another 2 quarters to prove himself to the Ravens coaches and fans. This man deserves a fair shot. I am not saying that Troy is the next Brady, Manning, or Unitas, but let him carry this team until Joe Flacco is ready. Let Flacco learn and be ready by his 2nd year. I guarantee you that the fans will not give Troy 6 years to develop. I can't believe that the Boller lovers still want to give Kyle time to develop.

Hey Ravens faithful what would it take for the Ravens to trade for the wide receiver Anquan Boldin from the Arizona Cardinals. Is Willis Mcghee acting up like he did in Buffalo or is this a legitimate knee injury?

doesnt our coach already know that troy smith sticks? does he want to know if he can be that bad for 3 quaters? i guess this answers the question on if harbaugh was trying to win this year or not. if smith is our starter we will be lucky to win 3 games. we can start looking at the draft already cause we may have the #1 pick. time to trade all the veterans with any trade value- lewis, scott, mcgahee, mcalister and totally re-build.

You are really reaching now aren't you? LOL
if he plays good enough for another team to want to trade for him, why the hell would we trade him?

You must really be fond of boller.

this isn't MLB doushe. Showcase??? LMAO. For a decent O-lineman??!! ROFLMGDMFAO. Not even for a 6th round pick. While we are at it throwing out possible scenarios, lets trade him for Cal Ripken.

If your logic is true I would rather have Boller start, because he is not capable of winning more than 1 game with this current team, and we would get a great draft pick.

It would take Phil Savage to make this deal, as Ozzie is an idiot.

Willis clearly has a legit injury because he really had surgery on it, hard to fake that, but I heard he was in poor shape reporting to camp.

I firmly believe that Boller won the QB competition but I strongly agree with this decision. We know what we get with Boller, and while i think Boller is better than Smith, it's well worth the risk to experiment a little longer. There are these ignorant people COUGH* BollerMakesUsLose COUGH*, that think Smith has showed he's the best option... But we all realize that's not the case... He's did nothing but lose the job the first two games and in practice... but here's another chance troy, SHOW ME SOMETHING!!!

Kevin you haven't given Troy a chance to prove whether he belongs or is a bust like Boller. Have you watched Boller for the last 6 years? I am not a Boller basher, just fed up with waiting to see if he can develop into a productive NFL quarterback. Let this man move on and hopefully have some success somewhere else.

You are so pathetic and desperate for someone to agree with your blind boller ball licking logic that you follow me around to every thread and mention my name whenever you can. I may have to report you for stalking! LOL

if you actually believed the bull_chit you just posted, you wouldn't have even wasted your time posting it. You keep telling everyone who will listen that YOU think boller is better than Troy Smith, when the majority of fans, and COACHES feel Troy is better than boller. Get over it and stop crying like a punk biiitch. It's getting really sad watching you shed tears over boller, his career is over, fall in love with some other worthless first round bust QB.

I have faith that Troy Smith will win the starting job this Saturday against the Rams. The coach is right, we haven't seen enough of Troy Smith yet. We already know what we get in Boller.

I also think the Ravens should make a run at signing WR Joe Horn.

We would trade him because Boller and Flacco remain. It's a common tactic to showcase guys that are on the trading block. Yes, I'm reaching, but it's plausible. Flacco will not be traded. Boller, in his final year of a contract, is not tradeable. Smith is.

Look i have finally give up on boller as well, but if harbaugh starts troy in the season opener he will lose boller for the rest of the year. Klye won't be here next year no matter what. On the other hand if he starts boller and he doesn't produce you can always switch back to smith with no added pressure put on him. In the Grand scheme of things if he starts smith he better be prepared to go the distance with him. Lets face facts neither one of these guys have proven to be head and shoulders better then the other but i think in order to salvage a already bad situation start boller in the opener.

typical racist scumbag white guy with too much time on his hands. I feel sorry for your mother. Instead of making the above post, you could've opted to kill yourself instead, as no one will miss you I promise.

Yeah...lets see what Troy can do against one of the worst teams in the NFL. That will show us his potential.

I do however agree about Horn...maybe if we're lucky we could get Horn signed and then trade Clayton and a 3rd rounder to Arizona for Boldin. Then we can get rid of D. Williams and Gaither for a decent Tackle.
