USC is the only team in the nation close to what the SEC has. Tennessee is the number #7 team in the SEC. Vandy and Kentucky are coming up on them fast.

UCLA won over a low tier SEC team. Big deal.

Granted but UCLA was picked to finish 8th in the PAC-10.

Give them the credit they are due:

1.They won with a 4th string QB

2.Their Starting TB was injured earlt in the 1st QTR and did not return. Wait there is more, UCLA lost two more starters in the 1St QTR too.

3.It gets better two weeks ago a back up TE was moved to start on the O-Line due to no depth and he was a starter overnight?

4.Tennessee got whacked by a Mid-Pac-10 team last season Cal. Tennessee was routed....by Cal and didn't Tenness then later in the season take Georgia apart?

Hmmmmmm?

5.Now a bad UCLA team does and now you make excuses?

6.You just better hope ASU doesn't knock of Georgia in Tempe.

7.Just look at what a nobody Fresno State in Baseball did to Georgia at the CWS.

Different sport but that is why they play the games.

8.ASU gets Georgia in their house in the hot dry dessert that is totally different than playing in hot wet humidity in the south.

Go PAC-10 Game on~!=)

Give credit where credit is due. Nice job, UCLA. None of us thought UCLA would win (including you). It's early yet so we'll see how things continue to unfold.

Nice of the Tennessee Vols to represent the SEC today LOL~!
Beaten by a rebuilding UCLA Bruin team with no QB,
TB, or O-line.
But It was their defense that saved them tonight. UCLA is a mid Pac-10 team at best this season.
Yeah the SEC is sure world beaters...now if ASU takes out Georgia the SEC fans will not hear the end of it all season long LOL.
First Tennessee gets whacked by:
the CAL Golden Bears last year 2007 & then they lose to Cal's step brother the UCLA Bruins 2008~!
Tennessee needs Davey Croket to teach the Vols how to hunt and kill bears because the last two times the Vols went out into the woods the Bears won LOL~!
I doubt very highly that Tennessee will be renweing and Pac-10 game commitments any time soon when they can just schedule Tennessee State, Missouri State, or Pittsburg State~!=)
Joe my friend,
Georgia is gonna take it to ASU. The ASU O line isn't good. ASU may match up against some teams very well. But UGA's D will ravage them. So no, it won't be a trifecta this year for the Pac.

I agree with you but you have to watch Erickson he is crafty. If ASU can get into a shoot out they might have a chance.

The O-line does need help if ASU had a good one last season they would have beaten Texas hands down in their Bowl Game.

I agree,I just don't how UCLA pulled it off with their lack of depth and personal. Again they will live or die by their defense IMO.

Good Win for UCLA & Slick Rick.

Eagle now take a closer look:

The Better Football Conference: PAC-10 or SEC?
If you take USC out of the PAC-10 and LSU out of the the SEC for the last ten years the SEC has only beaten the PAC-10 2x's total.

The problem with this conversation is variables. "If" If you eat oysters, you might get sick.

You already know that I think the PAC is a tough conference, but C'mon.

2003 LSU
2004 Auburn (peoples champion)
2006 Florida
2007 LSU

Parity, my friend. It really doesn't matter if you believe the SEC is #1 or #2 because in the end you have to admit that no other top notch conference boasts similar parity with similar results; NCs, recent bowls wins, etc..

Yes, the PAC is tough, but I don't think you honestly believe that the PAC has SEC parity.

BTW The Big 12 has arrived imo.

USC vs. Ohio State

Is going to be LSU II

It think it will get UGLY and maybe 5 more USC tailbacks will score touchdowns and 4 more QB's will get a chance to play.

Infact USC will be able to emepty the bench by the 3rd QTR LOL~! JK Matt

By the way San Diego State had their chances, today.

Clausen is still overrated.

Due to the turnovers ND did not win it rather San Diego State lost it...it was their game to lose.

Charlie still can't develope jack. I can't wait to give Big Dan crap LOL~!=)
