Agreed. the ravens offense may get better in a year of two but the rookie QB is going to make mistakes. Their D is still tough as nails, but oddly fail when the game is on the line. I think they lack discipline and leadership. The bungles are still the bungles. I think the browns will do better. They have a pretty good team. But face a pretty tough schedule coming out of the bye.

You are correct about the Browns and their schedule of up coming games. It's a do or die game come Monday night against the NY Giants, then the Redskins,Jacksonville and the Ravens again. They hopefully will get some of their injured players back for this week. The bye for the Steelers is welcome for sure. Ben can't keep getting hit by those fat guys... what did you think about the hit on Trent Edwards in the Buffalo game? Miami is really looking good. They are playing with some enthusiasim. The Tuna sure knows football.

It's weird that he didn't see that guy coming and try to juke him. too late now. Yeah the bye is just in time for both the steelers and the fans. this was the third night game in three weeks with work the next day! Hey the browns have their work cut out for the them the washingtons and the new yorks are two tough teams. the jags are pretty good too but they can't seem to the run the ball anymore. did you see how our fat guys piled onto jones-drew and squished him? he had like 900lbs land on him and had to leave the game. I think he came back but never did anything after that. tough game.

Ben's nickname should be Timex... Takes a licking and keeps on ticking. I think the hit on Edwards was legit as well, he was seeing stars. Obviously the Bills aren't as great with out him.

Moore is from the vikings. a friend of mine, long time vikings fan, said more was a good back that never got a chance due to taylor and pederson in the backfield. He now is showing his stuff. He is an elusive runner that's for sure. Not a between the tackles kind of guy but he can catch and run.

If he keeps running the way he did last night, Parker won't have to hurry back from his injury.

I'd rather see them face the pats than the bills at this point. Hey Bob, don't sleep on the Colts. Look what happened to Houston yesterday. Last week the Jags had to kick a 51 yard FG with 4 seconds left to barely beat them 23-21. That's after they racked up 228 yards on 45 carries and controlled the ball for over 40 minutes of the game. The Colts are still one of the most explosive teams in the NFL. The problem with the Colts is the DT's, and safety play. The Colts have undersized DT's with very little experience since Quinn Pitcock unexpectedly retired and Ed Johnson was cut for violating the league drug policy. Those were the two best DT's they had. Now the Colts are playing a rookie who is only 6'2"/265 and a 6'3"/254 2nd year starter. They're getting pushed all around, and to make matters worse, there's no Sanders to plug the holes when they miss. Things will change when Sanders returns in 2-3 weeks, and the rookies get a little more playing time under their belt. In the meantime, thanks for the help with the Jags. Del Rio walks around like it's his God-given right to get all the breaks and his team plays like a bunch of thugs. I really enjoyed watching Pitt whoop that tail!

There were some weird calls that game last night too. Also what is up with the jags running game? They are really thin at the O line. Those guys had nowhere to run. Too bad about the fat guys in the middle. We are missing our NT which isn't good. Sanders is canonball that's for sure. There's a reason he was defensive player of the year. I think that was last season. I couldn't believe that manning and company stormed back like that. I guess you have to chalk that up to an explosive offense and a really really stupid QB on the other team who doesn't understand the concept of managing a lead and taking care of the football. This season is still early and you guys may catch the titans yet.

This season is still early and you guys may catch the titans yet. The Jags o-line is beat up and full of subs, but they still have Taylor and Jones-Drew, two very dangerous backs. I was VERY impressed with the way the Steelers defensive line handled them. If the Colts had a defense like that they'd win the SB every year. The ending to that Houston game was almost surreal. I don't think I've ever seen a team meltdown like that so fast. Everybody knows if you want to beat the Colts you have to keep their offense off the field, otherwise the game just turns into a scoring match. All Rosenfels had to do was continue handing the ball off to Taylor and Jones-Drew. I thought the Colts were toast. Low and behold - we're handed a gift from Heaven, twice! That Houston QB will be thinking about those bonehead plays for a long, long time. I can't believe the best the Ravens could manage was 10 points. 10 points! How pathetic. Any other team in the league would have beaten the Titans. Well, except maybe Cincy... I think the Colts are going to finish the season at about 11-5. I think they may finish in a tie with the Titans and split the season series with them and the Jags. Who knows... What's up with Ben's protection? I don't think I've EVER seen a Pitt O-line allow this many sacks. What's going on, and what's up with Ben's shoulder?

I don't think I've EVER seen a Pitt O-line allow this many sacks. What's going on, and what's up with Ben's shoulder? The shoulder was injured in the first game but he is toughing it out. I don't think he throws in practice anymore. The bye came at a perfect time. The O line has just been average at pass protect and above average at run blocking. I think part of the problem is that Ben holds the ball too long and doesn't throw it away or hit the checkdown guy. He is always looking downfield trying to make the big play. So when you combine an average O line and Ben hanging on to the ball you get more sacks. I don't know what they plan on doing about it. I'd like to see more quick slants and screens; we saw some of that sunday night. The AFC South is clearly the toughest division in the conference. I think that this year the wildcard teams will have to put up 10+ wins or they will get squeezed out.

Hey, guys. Maybe we ought to head down to Wheeling Downs and bet on some harness-racing. Our instincts were dead on. They embarrassed those G-men.

I don't seem to have any kind of feeling at all for this game, maybe because I don't know how the boys are going to come out of the bye week. They could be looking ahead to all those tough match-ups after the Bungles, and Cincy has to be even hungrier than the Browns. On the plus side--Palmer won't be starting, and I just can't see Fitzpatrick getting anything accomplished against our D. So my HEAD says a Steelers romp... What do you think?

You mean hungry for another Bengals loss. Good game last night...Browns looked like they made good use of the two weeks off to prepare. Back to one week of practice and the Browns sucking again.
