After the multiple prime time games, the next thing that jumped out at me was how early the bye week is. Maybe as a Browns fan I'm jaded by the constant ESPN crapathon of all Ohio sports (OSU sucks, Tribe beats Yankees and it's all about Yankees and Torre losing, Steven A Smith breaking into Sportscenter a week ago to let me know that LeBron's contract's up in 2 years and he thought about going to Dallas but now he isn't... 2 years from now... breaking news...).

Does anyone else think this might be a little bit of a slight? Why didn't they just give us a week 1 bye? Are they expecting a nice season, but an early playoff exit? Whatever, like I said, just something that jumped out at me.

This season:
We will stomp the dogsh!t out of the browns in the first half and stomp it back in in the second half. I hope the brownies field a better team this year and at least make a game of it! Bring back the turnpike rivalry.

That 2nd week is going to be total playoff atmosphere and the game is gonna be a fight to the death because it will set the stage for the rest of the year. I kinda wish it wasn't that soon but I'm glad the steelers have the 2nd game at home, which many are already saying will probably be the division decider. I don't get why some are up on the Ravens. Weirder things have happened but I just don't see it.

I think we will have a much better idea about the ravens and browns after the draft. The browns won't do to much but we sure will and sow ill bmore. I'm hoping for jonathan stewart in the first round. Let's hope the browns don't pick up a bruiser FB to block for lewis. I'll bet the ravens pick up a QB with a top pick. 10 days and counting...

The Ravens and the Bengles will be racing each other to see who finishes up in the celler. In taking a closer look at that schedule...those 1st 5 games are very winnable. I'm not ready to make a prediction yet, but the Steelers could go 11-5 or 10-6 IMO. When the x factors are mixed in over the next few months I'll stick my neck out.

After seeing the schedules, wiping the vomit off my chin, I say it comes down to whomever wins the first game in Cleveland, will have a 1 game lead on the last week rematch. If that team wins they go, other is out, if the other team bounces back to even the series, tie breaker decides it.

i think this year is gonna be tuff as hell for both of us. i really think 9 games might win the division. should be a very good year. go browns

Division wins will be monumental as well as winning at home. Look to try and go 6-2 at home with a division record of at least 4-2 to get to 9-7 this year. Winner of this division needs to play well in the head-to-head games, which will take it's toll as the season wears on.

All comes down to who steps up and who stands down. Steelers/Browns. Two teams that need to tweak their rosters...two teams with the same record last year (I do want to point out that although Pitt had a pretty easy schedule last year...the Browns had it just as easy. The Pats might be on their way down (defensively) this year...may be the right time to strike. As for the browns 4-2 prediction in the division? That seems about right...And we all know who those two losses are going to be to.

You just might be right. I'd like to think that the AFC North winner does it with 10 or 11, but the schedule looks pretty rough. Of course it's still pretty early to tell. Last season everyone said the Ravens were the team to beat and look what happened to them.

Difference being this year, the Steelers and Browns have their QB situation under control. You knew as good as the Ravens did the year before, they could fall like a house of cards.

I all hinged on Krusty last year and he was too injured to get it done. I wouldn't count out the purples just yet. They will get a high draft picks and I thought that young QB wright I think was his name looked pretty solid in the last game of the season. Time will tell. I think we have the potential to have the best division in football if the bengals could ever stop going to jail.

Troy Smith is his name from Ohio St., Heiseman Trophy winner. Pretty good resume to take over from Krust McRust. LOL!!!
