Browns to play 3 times on Monday night

Bill, they didn't trade for or draft a rookie CB. The guy that got hurt, Daven Holly, was probably going to be a nickle back by the end of the season. Cousins is as good as Holly was.

Their two starting corners will be 2nd year men who performed extremely well last year as rookies, one of whom was considered by many analysts a 1st round talent.

Rounding out the secondary are a pair of players who will be entering their prime over the next few years, one of whom is getting pro-bowl looks.

Pair that with a vastly upgraded front 7 and our defense looks pretty good.

I stand corrected. Was'nt a DB traded in order to acquire one of your new Veterans or am I getting it confused with the Bengles or another team? Anyway, my bad. I'm looking forward to our division matchups. Hopefully they will rival the games back in the day.

There is always hope! Don't give up! Maybe the clowns will trade places with the bungles and go from #30 rank to #27 in total defense!!!

I saw LZ's post. Good info. The brownies have had some bad luck with injuries that's for sure.

It's typical of the brownie fan base. They can't see talent in players from other teams. Yeah and he only broke for over a hundred yards in 5 of his 17 games, pretty inconsistant if you ask me. The games he did break for over a hundred, were against crappy defenses!!!

You shmuck, Willie Parker ran for 1316 yards, and rushed over a hundred in 8 games. You need to do some homework!!!

The only time Winslow will "wax" someone is when he hits them after the whistle, the way he did to Farrior. That hit was so far after the whistle that Farrior had actually started jogging to the sidelines. The next play, Farrior (legally) pasted him, forcing a fumble.

Polamalu played all of last season injured, and at about 75%, but still never got "waxed" by Winslow. If you really want to take bets on who gets the worst of it this season in any Polamalu/Winslow collision, go ahead and lay out your chips, but it's a losing proposition, Joshie.

A better bet would be that Lewis doesn't make it past week 8. I like Lewis--he's the kind of back I've missed having on the Steelers--but he's taken some serious hits over the course of his career. Since the Browns paid no attention to back-up RB in the off-season, I think the running game is a major chink in the ol' armor. I'm not saying that to be obnoxious, it just seems evident. If you know something about the backups that I don't, Browns fans, I'd be happy to hear it.

Bill, you're correct, they traded a DB away. My bad, I thought you meant traded for a DB. Alot of Browns fans were really high on Bodden, I thought he was kinda overrated, but ask Bob, I'm just an ignorant homer who follows all the other fans.

You had me going there for a minute. I read alot and try to stay on top of things, but that dose'nt mean I am incapable of making a mistake once in awhile. I also believe in keeping your enemy close. Thats why I'm soooooooooo confident. LOL!
