You call this front page news.....What happened to the Mets dominant performance of the Cards and a 2 game lead in the NL east. I hate this paper....but I loved giving it to the loser Yankee fans.

The young Yankee and the old Yankee. Josh shut them down and Mo came in and slammed the door shut as smooth as good ole vintage wine.

This was not a big win. It will be a big win in October if they make it.

Posters on this forum ridiculed me during spring training when I said Chamberlain would be as good as Beckett. Tonight was conclusive evidence that I was 100% correct.

I'm sure some idiotic Bosox and Mets fans will say it doesn't matter until the playoffs, but Joba will get his chance to show everyone in about 10 weeks, so don't go and get red in the face.

Apologies accepted in advance.

What's really up with Joba and Youk...what got this going last year. I saw all of the games mentioned. Did Youk do something last year that has Joba going after the noggin all the time?

Don't know what it is with Youkolis. If you're gonna throw at someone in that lineup, why him? He's not the most dangerous hitter.

That's one. Two more to go for the sweep.

See you all back here tomorrow.

P.S. Red Sox fans are a disease.

Great pitching performance by Joba. He's getting better with every start.
I don't get the thing with Youk. I haven't missed a Yankee-Red Sox game in years and I just don't have any recollection as to what started this little feud. I know the incident that got Joba suspended last year was a pay back, but is it still happening? or has something else happened between them? That slide into home wasn't dirty and Joba didn't seem to be upset when it happened so I just don't get it. It's happened too often to be a coincidence!

Do you think Joba and Josh Becket were wearing their Phitek necklaces last night? And what the heck are those things? You put a necklace on and it helps you throw harder? Sounds like a rip off.

I can't stand the Red Sox, but hate the Yankees even more. I would love to see pitchers bat, then the fast balls to the head that somehow get away from the picthers won't happen.

Great the yanks won but the game should not even have been that close! The yanks had base runners in scoring position several times during the game. For god sake guys hit when you got guys ready to score!!!!!!!!!!

And the reason Joba goes after Youk is because Joba hates Bald guys.
