Kobe = the most overrated, media hyped also-ran in the NBA. He will never win it all. Kobe = Patrick Ewing II. I gave up on the LA Losers when they traded their true champion, The Shaq.

After a week, you`ve probably noticed by now, that Manny is inherently like-able, fun loving, and can be charming when the mood hits. Kobe was not born with any of those genes!
Manny`s antics did not cause a franchise/teammate to get traded for virtually nothing. The Sox got a very good player in last week`s trade. The Lakers got fleeced in the Shaq deal!
The bad news for LA is, Manny will never sign a contract with the penny pinching Dodgers.
"Manny being Manny" beats "Kobe Being All About Kobe" any day of the week.
Why is that only East Coast people get it? They just state truth.

Kobe is not like-able, I've heard this directly from an NBA player, and I'm sure he isn't the only one, that's why even though you guys are the Lakers you can't make any splashes in free agency unless you call D-Fish and Radmanovic a splash.

Fans like Kobe, players in the league see through his facade.

As for Philly, they give standing ovations when Iverson comes to town. Rasheed also gets love. Kobe boo'd all day long they can't accept his Will Smith/Ali equivalent of Kobe/Michael not even close.

D Wade is closer to Michael then Kobe just watch the Olympics. He wears #9, the goatee, bald head, Chicago roots, most important has heart.
Kobe is the 3rd best player on the Summer team,#1 in hype though.

1. YEs, Manny has squabbled with others, Schilling for one, he pushed an old man down just for not getting him tickets that the multimillionaire Manny could have purchased himself. And the veterans on the club had enough of his quitting. Yes, Manny quits, He left a frigging game against the yankees all because of a bad call. Heck he couldnt even remember which knee was hurting him after that time he took himself off the lineup. Manny is a quitter and lousy teammate.
2. Manny is known for not running out grounders. The last one he didnt run out...he would have beat the throw to first...hell i would have been able to beat that throw. Manny quits.
3. Manny aint paid no dues. He's a weird hard hitting savant. His only squabble with the front office is when his puppet master Scott Boras tells him what to **** about. Manny quits.
So enjoy Manny while you have him LA, we did. I wish he was still in Boston...But we got tired of his crap and his quiting on his team.
1. Curt Schilling has problems with EVERY team for which he's played and has alienated more people than Manny ever could. As for Manny pushing a guy... you know as much about that incident as I do... which is nothing. All hearsay. I also know a dominican ballplayer pushing a caucasian Red Sox employee would mean Manny would be under charges for battery.

2. Manny is a slugger... David Ortiz, Pujols, Bonds, Giambi and many others do not run out ground balls either. They are paid to drive in runs, not hit infield singles.

3. Manny is a peace loving guy who smiles and performs well on the field. His fielding is underrated and his hitting is undeniably superior to most.

So, keep enjoy Schilling and his "vote for Bush" comments while he gets paid $8M to sit on his 5th trimester belly and comment on a game in which he no longer participates

Just a little something from a pro's point of view, in case my opinion means nothing.

Tayshaun Prince excerpts in quotes:
All of a sudden Wade, whose star had taken a significant fall since winning Finals MVP in 2006, has become the go-to player on the most talented team in the world.

If Prince says that about Wade, it must be true.

“What’s good for us is when we get the ball out, just to kick it up to him on the wing, because nobody can stop him from getting to where he wants to go in the paint,” Prince said.“I think he’s the best at that on this team, as far as just throwing it up to him and letting him play.”

He said Wade is the best on the Olympic team, which means best in the NBA.

Truth its a jagged little pill.

What about Mark Teixeira? Shouldn't this be an article be about Teixeira and Kobe? The Angels are L.A.'s true baseball team. He and the Angels are getting lots of love all over Southern California; the city bleeds red now, not just blue.

There's an easy way to look at this without having this ill-wit,hungry-trouble-seeking sportswriters get their name on the paper - One is a basketball player, one is a soccer player, and then there's Manny (you forgot about your soccer star, didn't you?). Shows how fast and dumb you are in pulling the trigger without thinking.

Over-rated? How did he won the NBA 2007/8 MVP trophy, then? Hello! Kobe's got a lot of years in front of him where your Shaq don't(maybe one or two years left) you just don't have enough facts about what you want to get across. You can go to Phoenix and see your Shaq there and you can watch him start his deterioration process all you want.

Bottom line: How many championships has Shaq won? mmhmmm...and how many has Kobe won? I rest my case.

What a joke of a story. Most true Laker fans love Kobe. Truly a sad excuse of a story and a sad excuse of a sports writer.

Also anyone who truly knows anything about Basketball never truly liked shaq and his work ethic. Yes did we like the fact that he HELPED bring three championships to the Lakers of course we did but the key word is he HELPED without Kobe and the rest of the team Shaq would have brought nothing.
