The parents at the middle school should be glad they have a great teacher added to the staff. The high school will no doubt feel the loss. I'm sure the new yearbook advisor will not allow such free expression by the students.

Well DAMN!
I was looking forward to reading "It's okay to be a Transvestite with Green Hair and Pink Hotpants" in next year's yearbook.

Right Goose. We could of had a great story about the details of being a Hermaphrodite too. Really needs to be in our kids yearbook. Will miss all the acceptable stories.

People are lunatics that believe it is OKAY to be gay and preach it to our kids. That it is okay to be a Hermaphrodite or Transvestite. Sickening.

Can't we find a compromise somewhere in the middle of its OK to be gay and it's not OK to be gay? maybe something like.. it's kind of all right to be gay.. but only if you don't talk about it too much.

I am curious.

Did Hugh Willett go look for this guy to ask him this crap?

Or did Wunder-teacher contact KNS and ask for an interview, so he could tell everyone "Nyah, Nyah. I love my new job."?

Apparently not only is this man a great teacher, but a class act. I know it's really hard for some of you to understand, but there are gay kids and adults that probably interact with you and may even love you. I shudder to think how sad they feel knowing your backwards mentality.

The new teacher is half the teacher that he was. LCHS loses. When you get the worst of the best school to replace the best at your school it won't work out for the kids...

Okay, he is "a class act". Maybe that's a codependant liberal attempt at PUNishing humor.

Silent Mom, if there are any-closet queens that know me, OF COURSE they love me. That's just because I'm so likeable and loveable.

Not a liberal....not codependent or dependent. I think his remarks were gracious, and I liked that he was not demeaning towards anyone, hence the class act remark. Class, it's something that a few of the posters could benefit from.....

I too see a lack of class. You denigrate his replacement as "half the teacher" he is.

That must be because you're so tolerant.

I would tell you exactly how I know but I can not. I know that many teachers have either left LCHS over this situation or are contemplating leaving.

Listen, I read your posts. Most of the time, you choose to make base comments concerning gays and lesbians and attack anyone that doesn't agree with you. I get it. You are scared. Your think that the gays are going to run naked in the streets and maybe seduce you with their decorating skills. Truth is they have been here along side you and you probably know a few.

I realize that there is nothing I could say to you that would change your mind, so I would not try. I do wish you would reflect on how upsetting some of the things said would be to a gay person. Maybe chill on the hate.

He likes grand standing, what else could he say when he was being interviewed. Hes not going to say that he dislikes his job and that he is upset and mad over his DEMOTION. Duh,thats a no brainer. He had 2 choices DEMOTION or resign. LOL!maybe he figured out the DEMOTION paid more.

If you read the story it says that Yoakley was guest speaker at the Writers Guild in Knoxville. That's where the information came from. A similar story appeared in MetroPulse last week by another writer.

LOL! Omigosh there's naked gays running down my street! How horrifying. I'm so scaaaaaaared of these posterior-pumping pansies!

Chill on the hate? Why don't you chill on the fagaganda?

And you have inside information you can't share. You're a LC teacher too then? Or maybe you are Yoakley's mom?

Is his speaking tour going to take him out of the area?
Amazing

Ah ...... YEAH Silent mom! SURE.

You now claim that, through your insider information, you know about all these LCHS teachers who have quit, and are getting ready to quit, because they are all supportive of Yoakley and upset over his transfer.

Yeah - LOOK OUT! Mass exodus of teachers about to take place.

But that isn't what Yoakley says at all. Look at this copy & paste from Willett's story:

" The tipping point occurred late in April when the school yearbook that contained an article about a gay student was distributed. He said other teachers complained and opposition in the community began to grow."

So you see, when blogs appeared on this Topix forum with headlines saying things like "Parents, look at the yearbook" - some posts even giving the page number - it was OTHER TEACHERS alerting the community. That's hardly the upset, supportive faculty you are trying to paint for us. It was OTHER TEACHERS who alerted the community to this fagaganda.

So in conclusion: Quit making things up.

Why would I make anything up on this forum? Not only do you say demeaning things about me (I am gay, I am Yoakley's mom, I am Buckles mom, I am codependent, i am liberal) now you call me a liar...

Dude, I am a mom with a kid at LCHS and a kid that graduated there. I speak with people and know some of the teachers from a variety of things. If you honestly believe that the staff is happy with what happened, go on and believe in your version of life.

I realize you think that you can bully a woman...what, mommy was mean? Travel. Get out. Stop hanging out at Bimbo's and meet some people who are not like you. Read a book....just saying.
