Raiders Release First Depth Chart Of Season

Aug 7, 2012 | Posted by: roboblogger | Full story: JustBlogBaby

You can't read too much into the first depth chart of an NFL season . The Raiders have only been in camp for one week so as Dennis Allen says this depth chart is "an evolving concept". We do know that more than half of the names on the chart won't be on the roster.

It's about what I expected to be...What's disturbing is Shane Lechler's non-football injury, but I expect him to be back. Don't know what the deal with Aaron Curry is, but they seem high on Miles Burris.

I think Miles Burriss is looking real good for a rookie. Hope he makes the roster. I think he will improve our D.

DVD is looking very good too. Great news. he always had the speed to stay with the receiver, just couldn't break up the play. Looks like he's really improved his game.

Actually, I thought Chekwa had better cover skills than DVD last season--just not as fast as DVD. Looks like he is taking a step back this year (?).

I heard Curry may not make the roster but that's probably just rumor....stemming from Burriss's performance at camp.

I saw a depth chart earlier this week that didn't look like this one. This is the second "First Depth Chart" I've seen this week.

Maybe the one I saw before was the line-up for Monday's game (?).

forgot to mention Wheeler. Looking real, real good (even in pass coverage). He may turn out to be as big of a steal as Wimbley was.
