I can't wait to see Mark Cuban run onto the field to protest a bad strike call - or a ball at 1st base or a bad call period. He is not the person to whom to entrust the Cubs. I hope Zell and Co. know better than to sell the team to the egomaniac Cuban.

I'm mixed about this...but either way it's inevitable they will be sold. Both have experience in the sports arena, and both have their pros and cons (Cubans being more obvious to the naked eye).

according to another article i've seen about this, Canning is out and all bidders who were didn't make it out of the first round will not be allowed to make a higher bid in round two. fantastic. get that tightwad out of here and send him back to Milwaukee where he belongs.

Any truth to the rumor that one group is from the Phillipines. They plan to move the team and rename the Manila Folders.

Oprah's bid was rejected because her lawyers included the condition that if she discovers the Cubs aren't what they claim to be, Cubs management will have to appear on her show to be berated by her like that goofball who wrote the fake drug addict memoir.

All these bidders are hoping the Cubs choke because if they ever win something, all the intrigue will be gone. Why do you think the Tribune company kept them mediocre for so long? Its all about the anticipation. People love the story. Its the story that is worth all that money. And the story is "Lovable Losers"

Take the Cubs public and sell shares to the season ticket holders and sell the ballpark to American Invesco they can turn into Condos
