Where's all the “Haters” today? Where are all the doubters & nay-sayers that were spouting off their trash on here all last week? I guess that impressive win over a top 5 team did it's job & SHUT THEM UP! Awesome win for the Gators, they finally realized that their are more quality players on the team other than Tebow & Harvin. Defense played STOUT. Looking forward to redemption & UGA now. GO GATORS!!

"As far as strength of schedule, Florida's opponents aren't that great overall," Chi said. "They have to hope some teams ahead of them lose a couple more games."

I think the gators have just realized what they can do with all there speed. in the opening weeks it seemed the we didnt know who to get the ball to consistently, or didnt know who would be an every down back. now weve found how to put the ball in all our threats hands - DOMINATION!!

Talk about making a mountain out of a molehill. I don't think of anyone who has expected Tim Tebow to live up to last years hype. The only time we questions Mullen's play calling was on when he went deep twice on a 2 and 1 and had Tebow line up in the shotgun formation to run for that one yard the ended up losing the Ole Miss game for us.

What a great game on Saturday. I can't wait until Kentucky comes to town!

Not so fast my gator loving friends at the sentinel. The Gators are kidding themselves if they think they are in the top five in national title contenders. A team that loses at home to a scrub team like Ole Miss will not play in the national title game ahead of other deserving teams. Here are the teams ahead of uf in the national title picture:
Texas
Penn State
Oklahoma
USC
Texas Tech
Oklahoma State
Ohio State

LSU is not a good team, their claim to fame is beating a horrible Auburn team. The SEC is very weak this year compared to the Big 12, the SEC is comparable to the Big Ten this year.

USC would mop up the SEC and go undefeated.

Old Miss (sic) did a great job of capitalizing on our mistakes and they won. Unfortunately for them, one game doesn't make a season. We are headed for the SEC game in Atlanta if we keep playing at last Saturday's level!

Gator Grad here and have to admit this article is misleading. Gator's Strength of schedule makes it difficult to make it without some serious help. I think Texas must lose 2x, OU must lose 1x, Penn State must lose 1x. This Corso guy is an idiot however and USC has very little to no shot due to weakness of schedule. They would require all those losses + UF and possibly another Big 12 team. Positive is Texas has absolutely brutal schedule left, and OU also has no easy task of winnig out. PSU is the biggest joke because they have relatively easy path.

The Big 12 is the stongest conference this year, so there will be some cannibalism there. Texas still has to play Missouri, Oklahoma State, Texas Tech and Kansas. Texas Tech still has to play Texas, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Kansas. Oklahoma still has to play Kansas, Texas Tech, and Oklahoma State Oklahoma State still has to play Texas, Texas Tech, and Oklahoma.

Speaking of losing to scrub teams douchey, in case you didn't notice, USC lost to 2-4 Arizona State.

Ohio State? Please let's not go there after the last two years.

All of that being said, the Gators should not have lost to Mississippi and they will need help to climb back into any sort of title national title contention. But it's happened twice before, so let's see how the season plays out.

Ohio State? You mean the same Ohio State that struggled against Ohio U and an abysmal Wisconsin? Yeah okay, knock that one off your list.

You mean the same USC that got dominated by Oregon State, even without their starting QB? The same USC that doesn't have one ranked opponent for the rest of the year? Yeah, knock that one off your list, too.

Texas has to play Mizzou, OK State and Texas Tech, so those teams will take care of themselves.

While I'm not an idiot nor do I expect Florida to go to the national title game this year (we have tough games of our own looming ahead), you are an idiot for not realizing my above points.

I will say I believe the Big 12 is the toughest conference this year, but the SEC is at least tied second with the PAC 10 if not better.

Sounds like yet another envious scUM or FSU fan just praying for anything to keep the Gators down.

If the Gators win the rest of their games, they will be playing for the National Title.

With wins against #10 Georgia,#22 Vanderbilt, and #2 Alabama in the SEC game, why shouldn't they?

As far as I am concerned, a loss against a team like Ole Miss bodes well for us as opposed to a loss against LSU. We all know the Ole Miss is not on the same level as UF. The Gators gave that game away with mistakes and turnovers. It was a fluke...

Clearly, LSU is capable of beating the Gators. there is no doubt that they have the talent to beat us. If they had, there would also be no doubt that we are not the best team in the country because clearly a team that is on par with us beat us.

You're usually given one free pass in the BCS, we've used ours.

Like I said, If we win the rest of our games, which is a good possibility, we will be playing for the National title.

What in the world are you talking about? the PAC 10? I'll agree the Big 12 SOUTH is very competitive right now, but where did the PAC 10 comment come from?

Outside of CAL and USC, you have a bunch of .500 or worse teams.

With 3 teams still in the top 10 and just a few weeks ago, three of the top 5 being SEC teams, the SEC is still the toughest conference this year.

TT hasn't played a single decent team and when they do, they will lose... and Kansas and Mizz will be out of the top 25 by the end of the season.
