That's the Yankees and there stupid fans, there minds are still in the late 90's when they were winning championships ( although 50% of there players were on PED's). Get over it and face reality, your team is a 200 million + bunch of over the hill, over-rated (A-Rod) mediocre team. Enjoy watching the other team in NY fighting for a playoff. Whether Mets win or not at least it's worth watching them and not this 3rd place team hoping to fend off the Blue-Jays.

The only chance I see the Yankees making the post season is if they win at least 17 of the remaining games and the Red Sox lose at least 9 of the remaining games. The Red Sox have the advantage with 13 home games remaining, 3 against the Yankees at Fenway Park to close out the regular season...

In short, the Yankees need LOTS OF HELP...

This can't be happening! You are talking about the most successful franchise in all of sports. They play in the toughest League in all of sports, and the toughest division in all of sports. They are the 26 time World Champion Yankees. They wear the pinstripes, they have Yankee pride. Jeter is a true Yankee. They have retired the most numbers of players in all of sports. Boston always folds and the Yankees always beat them ion the end.
This can't be happening.

News flash..... A-Rod just waved the white flag. Thank you Captain Obvious for saying what the entire team has believed since mid-August. What a bunch of quitters.

Not a shocker, we all knew they were a .500 team at best, Why you ask..The youth movement was really a bowel movement, Hughes, Kennedy, Cano, Milk dud. The clutch hitting of ARod, Pudge and Jeter.Veterans getting older, not enough hustle and aggression. Ponson and Rasner on the hill. What an off season this should be.

They may not be waving it publicly but it sure looks like it's being waved in the locker room.

All so 20th century. Nothing this century, except the greatest fold in the history of post season baseball. Up 3-0 against the Sox, and celebrating, only to lose 4-3 to the World Champion Boston Red Sox.

An off course that situation is going to change the Yankees reality.
The reason the Yankees are having a bad season is not because the Mets screew up their chances last season when they lose the pennant been up 7 games with 17 to play.
The reason the Yankees are having a bad season is that the Yankees created the BS of "how great were Hughes, Kennedy and Cabrera" because they wanted to full the Twins and they wanted the Twins to take their garbage prospects for Santana.
When the Twins didn't buy the Yankees Bull.S.. they end up getting stack with that garbage.
Usually when a team has a bunch of mediocres Minor.L and veterans in the down side of their carear things don't work.
When the Pitcher ERA is higther than his HT ( Hughes is a 6.5 tall guy with a 9.00 ERA) and is spending most of the time in D.L can't be call a prospect.
But again; even if the Mets will finish in last place and 25 games under .500 that won't change the Yankees reality.

Nope David; You are a pathetic crier who is trying to find where to throw your frustrations
Get it through your under 3 digits IQ Yankees brain ( if you can do it); the Mets have nothing to do with the pathetic Yankees season.
And 15 years ago in 1993 the Yankees didn't win anything in 1994 they had an strike in Baseball ; in 1995 the M'S kit the Yankees behind in the ALDS
in 1996 the umpires , MLB and Richie Maier won the WS for the Yankees ; in 1997 the Yankees didn't make it

. What's all this talk about the AL East being so great, 1 team REd Sox, Tampa Bay 1st year ever they have a winning record, usually lose 90 games, puhlease the O's wow that's a great franchise and the Blue Jays. C'mon this is the most over-rated division in baseball. NL East, Phillies, Braves 14 straight post-seasons they're in a little downturn and of course the NY Mets, yankee fans are so sad and angry that as usual all they talk about is the past

The reality is the Yankees most likely won't make the playoffs...

I don't know where you get your trade information, the "reality" is the Yankees did NOT want to trade either Hughes or Kennedy. The Yankees (Steinbrenner sons) did not want to take on that salary that would have put the team salary at about $250 million. There was NO BS about their value at this time last year. Just about every team needing young starting pitching wanted both in trades. Their value certainly has dropped considerably to the point they won't be traded...

I think Hughes has the ability to be a consistent winner. Kennedy, on the other hand, has little velocity and doesn't appear to locate his pitches very well. Cabrera has shown he's, at best, a 4th outfielder or may be better suited for the NL...
