I also like Pennington and wish him luck. Hopefully not on the Dolphins. In which case I'll hope he has a terrible year.

Chad Pennington has been one of my favorite players since he entered the league. Even if he does join the Dolphins I will still hope that he does good, but not when they're playing the Jets. So where ever he goes I hope Chad shows everyone he still can play.

I thought Pennington was done and Clemmens would take over, but with Farve i'm real happy.
The Awfulins will probably sign him if he's willing.
If he does i've got no problem with that. He'll be a good interm fit for them. I don't think he'll beat the Jets..come on you guys are worried about that?
It would make the games alot more interesting.
I also think some of these Awfulin fans would freak out after calling him noodle arm. LMFAO
Apparently some of the JET Fans on this forum don't have alot of faith in thier team. I'm more concerned about New England not a Pennington led Doofin club!

BravPhin... The Jets aren't looking for him to be there long term. They are built to win now!
Old? Favre, 3 is coming off one of his best seasons in 2007, throwing for 4,155 passing yards, 28 TDs, 15 INTs and career-highs in both completion percentage (66.5 percent) and yards per attempt (7.8).
He led the Packers to a 13-3 record and to the NFC Championship Game, where they lost overtime to the champion Giants.
He's no Concussion Riddled Trent Green nor is he an injured Daunte.
Farve's numbers last season are most likely better than John Beck's future total career numbers.
Be honest... wouldn't you have wanted Farve on the Dolphins this season? All the talk about a month ago suggested that Dolfans were excited about the possibility.
<quoted text>
Favre came off a great season l;ast year, cause his RUNNING GAME, and familiarity with the players. Wheres th JETS running game? 2nd, the 2 years BEFORE that , FAVRE had BAD seasons. 2 of last 3 werent very good. He said while in Green Bay he wouldnt TUTOR Aaron Rogers. So Ya got to figure, he aint gonna help the JETS out in that regard either. Oh, and remeber, just because he has NEVER MISSED A GAME from injury , doesnt mean there snt a 1st time for EVERYTHING! Just ask Tom Glavine, another HOF Athelete who, at an OLD age was NEVER ON THE DL , till THIS year! Sounds a but similar huh? Since GLAV was pondering Retirement as well!
Favre at 38 taking hits from Linebackers 16 years so far, is a bit harder on his body than say a PITCHER in MLB wouldnt you?
I am not saying Favre wont help the jets win 1 or 2 more games than they would have without him, if He stays healthy, But that IF is gtting BIGGER AND BIGGER By the moment.

I agree with you with Henne, but I would hesitate to put him in yet... I'd give him some more time to hold the clipboard, and maybe put him in towards the end of the season...JMHO...
Yes , I am aware that Pennington was at one time a Parcells guy . I am speaking about now , after he's had a chance . Not a fit .
I would agree on Henne , don't throw him right in , but I think he's got the best chance to become THE qb we need .

so, if we both agree on henne, but not just yet, who do you put in now?

I've said all along, this starting job was beck's to lose, and so far it seems he's losing it, so you 'd have to turn to a veteran.

Therefore, all I'm saying is I'd rather see pennington there now than mccown.

It is very amusing to read the barbs thrown between the fans of, arguably, the two WORST teams in the NFL. It is almost like arguing who will die first from their terminal disease. Good Job! But keep up the humor, it's hysterical! Pathetic, but hysterical.

Jet Fan, take some lessons from Greg! Talk football and leave out the juvenile insults. Face it, the only reason you're on here is to antagonize Dolphin fans. Some people deserve them, most don't. Have a good day and good luck to your Jets........they're gonna' need it!

First... you think Farve is supposed to be the savior? He's just replacing Pennington ... who by the way even most Dolfans don't want. And the Dolphins were 1-15!!

Pennington was going to be released but the Jets had second thoughts after he renegotiated his contract much lower.

The Jets have a good running game and new and improved O-line. Their receivers are MUCH better than Green Bay's WRs. Plus Farve can always rely on his old buddy Bubba Franks.

1 or 2 games over what? Do you honestly think the Jets will now be 5-11 or 6-10 with Farve? I thought the Jets could win 10 games this season with Pennington. So I'll take 2 more wins.

Do you think that Farve is the only improvement they have made? You really need to study more BravPhin.

Yep injuries are a fact of life... who can say that the entire Dolphin team won't be injured this year?

Glavine? He sucked with the Mets his last season. Poor comparison there.

Bashing a player means saying he sucks, has a "noodle arm" or was not very good anyway. Like Dolfans have done with EVERY former Dolphin player, with the possible exception of Zach.

Yep I hope he does extremely poorly on the Dolphins. That's not bashing.

To help you here's a definition of Bashing:

BASHING: When you deliberately attack a person using offensive and/or inappropriate language.

Where's my attack? I'm just hoping he does lousy and does not help the Dolphins. I think he's a very good QB ... and as I've said many times he's better than any QB the Dolphins have put on the field since Dan Marino.

So stop trying to start a meaningless argument. You little fan Lily will be disappointed.

ALL teams try to improve in the off season. What looks good on paper usually doesn't play out on the field. The jets are notorious for blunder moves and have one of the worst records over the last 30 years. It is really hard to improve a big fat zero of an organization. And I am NOT a dullfin fan or patsie or bills. In fact, the AFC East is a disgrace to the NFL and that includes the cheaters from NE. But keep your hopes up....thats all jets fans have been able to do in the last few decades.

Real courageous talk from a poster who won't reveal which team he supports. If you can't support your argument... you really don't have one.

Nope...it's Clemens with a "C". I would think I know my own team...LOL.
There was no vote of confidence for Clemens. That's why the Jets kept Pennington. BTW ESPN is reporting that Pennington may be heading to the Dolphins. This will be fun... just do to the sheer number of Dolfans referring to him as "noodle arm" over the past several years. You have made your point known as well. Let's see if you change your thoughts now. LOL
Read it and weep:

I really didn't think that the team I support and have done so since birth, really mattered. But it is the Pittsburgh Steelers. I have counted 6 losing seasons for the Steelers in the last 37 years. And of course let's not forget the 5-1 record in the Super Bowl. Are you happy now?
