Chad Pennington will be the starting QB for the Dolphins vs. the Jets on Opening Day!!! Parcells drafted Chad in 2000, and the Fins have already contacted Pennington's Agent.
The Jets will release him at 4pm today, and by 4:30pm Chad Pennington will be in Orange and Teal!!!!! |

I have a major man crush on Chad and think the Dolphins would be nuts NOT to take hims for a season or two. All in!

|
he is better than th QB's we have

The DULLfins will be LUCKY to win one game. This team should move to Orlando.....that's where Mickey Mouse operations thrive! you're dumb |

Face it Fin fans. Pennington is better than all your QBs combined. He's smart, accurate, and doesn't turn the ball over. The only knock is his arm strength, but the Fins never cashed in on his weakness when he floated those 5 second balls over the DB's heads to a wide open receiver. This guys is a good stop gap measure while Henne develops.

A Pats fan on a Dolphins message board? I'm surprised you have the nerve to show up here. What's the matter? Still lack the balls to go talk trash on a Giants board? Getting your a-s-s kicked like that must still sting. Man, is David Tyree something else. Eli burned through New England's secondary in crunch time like Oprah through a quart of ice cream. It's amazing the Pats can't win a big game nowadays without video cameras. |

Amazing how many anti-dolfans troll this board.....but my take on this hole thing is simply this, pennington has a pop gun arm similiar to fiedler, why would we even want that when the organization has been saying we are going to stretch the field on offense. This to me is much like when we brought in Thurman Thomas. A has been is what we are getting. As far as favre goes, he wont make the Jets better and is a has been himself. He'll learn to hate playing in NY. He has tarnished his legacy. It was better for him to go out on a high note with all his accomplishments than to play for a team with no chance to win it all just to extend his career. If anything, playing for Minnesota or Tampa were the only right moves to make. He should consider himself lucky Jason Taylor is no longer a dolphin and have to face him twice a year.

I guess it makes more sense for Henne to learn from Chad, then from McClown or Beck. Beck isn't a fit here, he's better suited for a west coast conference. Still, the thought of Pennington as the starter makes me queezy. :Sips Ginger Ale:

You guys forget very quickly, Chad has had pretty good games against the AFC East. He's always managed to beat our steller defense. he is an upgrade over MkCown, who hasn't look that great in camp. Plus Ireland and Parcells job is to improve this team whenever they can. this would be an improvement, any way you look at it.

If were gonna take a'has been' should it atleast be someone that was good???

im a die hard dolphins fan but if we have to dig as low as mr. 2 rotator cuff surgery my son can throw further than him,i might just go ahead and root for the 9ers shit im from the bay any ways!! this would be a total set back in the rebuilding phase..i like beck and i'm pulling for him but henne is coming out of training camp strong....ride or die with what we have now ...i know we wont be worse than 1-15 with any three qbs we have now!

|
Pennington? No thanks.
I'll be cheering for Farve...to throw more of his famous INTs! |
|
|
Jay Fiedler and my dead grandmother can both throw the ball better than Pennington.
Just name Henne the starter and be done with it. |
|
Because Favre didn't want to come here. |
|
How about Vinny Interceptaverde? |
|
|
I say sign Pennington. With our current QB situation and only having 78 players signed what would it hurt to bring him in and see what he has. If he's better than the other QBs sign him...if not release him again.

It is my belief that we need to pick one of the guys we have and stick with him and see how they progress.Every time we think we need to grab one of these washed up old guys going on what they did in their prime we end up regreting it.SOUR GRAPES!!!!The guys we have were picked for a reason. So since we are rebuilding pick one and go with it.Lets not commit the same mistakes over and over.PLEASE THIS IS NOT GROUNDHOG DAY!!!!It will take time no need to jump out their and grab some washed up has been.HELL YEAH GO FINS!!!!

Marlins wear teal, Dolphins wear aqua. If the Fins sign that noodle-armed has-been Pennington, I will lose all faith in the triumvirate. |
