Australia's effort, poor 3-point and free-throw shooting hinder Americans
Undefeated, but no longer unchallenged, the U.S. Olympic men's basketball team wrapped up its exhibition schedule with its toughest test, pulling away to beat Australia 87-76 Tuesday night.

This is embarrassing....and indicative that this "Dream Team" still is no match for the '92 squad.

I'm not going to curse you or wish death on you, but I do hope a black person saves your life one day. Maybe that would be a better punishment. |

You got that right, Brittle Fingers.
While this team has a ton of talent, in no way should the "Dream Team" moniker ever be used to describe it - or any future USA basketball squad. There will never be another team as good as the 1992 club - a true Dream Team if there ever was one. Go USA! ... kh ----------

Basketball is a team sport. Putting a bunch of stars together doesn't make a great team. The Yankees are proof of that. Someone has to step up, someone has to be a role player, someone has to sacrifice minutes. This has to happen every single game.
Unlike the first Dream Team, this one faces a much deeper field of players, many of whom are stars in the NBA themselves. Just look at the Spurs. They have three good players, one great one. Tim, Manu and Tony are their stars, but Tim is the above and beyond player. Still, the Spurs have won so much in the last decade that you would think they have other stars, but it's not about the stars as much as the regular players who step up when needed. This Olympic team doesn't have the roles that other teams have and that other players accept. Everyone on this team is a starter on their own team, they are All Stars. They get all the attention and all the playing time. Now they have to find a way to be a team instead of a bunch of individuals. Mike K is over his head. |

Good WIN!
People will cry that the didn't win every game by 10 points or more, not realizing that they are playing against teams that have been together for years! |
