I would have to assume that if there is any proof of tampering - Favre should be the one charged for tampering; after all he is the one who called both of the Vikings coaches. It wasn't the other way around.

The thing that the Milwaukee Journal and the Green Bay Packers failed to mention was how long these calls were.

There's a difference between a few one minute calls and a few 10+ minute calls

Tampering is when a team's management discuss a job with a play that is under contract with a different team. Farve can't be guilty of tampering because he's not management. It doesn't matter if Farve made the calls first, the only thing that matters is what they talked about.

ESPN is reporting Favre didn't have a Packers' issued cell phone. Such a benefit for any player would count as income and go against the salary cap. Besides, would a player really want a cell phone that is owned by the team?

Fox sports has an article today stating that the Milwaukee paper is now back tracking saying the Cell phone was NOT issued by the Packers. If it was then the Packers are in violation of the Salary Cap. To issue team cell phones they must be listed in their contracts as part of their Salary. OOPS! Looks like the old addage of:(If you are pointing at someone Three fingers are pointing back at you!) applies here. ROFLMAO!

That's unfortunate. Have we forgotten the employer/employee responsibilities? Why does Favre think that he has all the answers for what's best for the team. What still has not been addressed is why would the Vikings be in trouble over this? The calls originated from Favre. The Vikings didn't call him.

The Packers will be lucky to go 7-9 this season, and Rogers will be hurt within the first 6 games. This year the Vikings should take that conference. I highly doubt that Teddy (GM) and Mikey (Coach) will be around in a few of years.
