LMAO1, if all stupid people were put in jail, who'd man the registers at McDonald's?
Since only stupid people dine at McDonald's, it'd be moot.

Yeah, because you lard butts spending all your time watching TV and clogging your arteries with fat don't cost society anything, while giving us so, so much....

Bravo! I stopped reading these forums for about a month as I had completely overdosed on this cop hating stuff which is constantly being promulgated here. Those cops risked their lives! <quoted text>
It's a toss up as to whether the cop haters or the cop worshipers are more annoying.

Agreed, however, it does come in handy to know that if you're really constipated, a cure awaits under the golden arches.

Shut up, p*ssy.

Believe it or not, there's more to life than being as cost-effective as possible to the Government. I know I am more than a general ledger line-item at the local Government entity's accounting department, and I'll live my life as such, m'kay? I'm sick and tired of these walking dead ash holes who break every event in the news down to it's effect on the taxpayer. As though we should all go about our lives making every decision a public money cost-benefit analysis instead of one based in the dignity of individual choice.

Please tell me what could be a more efficient use of taxpayer dollars to the police department than spending a couple of hourse saving two lives? I'm guessing this is the most cost-effective thing the Evanston Police have done all year. A few hours work, safe two lives. Probably not a bad day for the taxpayer's money, OK?

From the stories Officer George has told me, this really IS all in a night's work for them. It is nice that they are actually getting some recognition for the wonderful work they do. Thumbs up "little" brother!

How many more words will be censored and banned.
You'd think George Carlin's 7 words you can't say on TV would have ended all this. If we keep calling words like the N word, or the B word - eventually we'll need a few more alphabets.

Even Barney Fife has a harder job than most people. There are a real lot of jerks out there and having to deal with them is no fun. You never know when they'll go off.
You seem to have a real problem with cops. Get caught speeding a few times?
I hope so, agressive drivers are dangerous, and I consider that protection from the idiots who drive like they own the road, that I pay for with my tax money.
If they didn't like the job - they shouldn't have applied for it. Are you saying when they applied they didn't know what they'd be doing and the clientele they'd be dealing with? And I guess calling them Barney Fife's would be an insult to Barney Fife - for he's not corrupt like all the other cops are.

I haven't gotten a ticket in over 20 years - can't even remember the last time. I'm just a taxpayer who is fed up seeing my tax dollars wasted on do nothing cops, corrupt goverments etc. and I find it appalling they continue to call them hero's. I did my job today - where's my metal? Or, since most cops do nothing - that's why they honor any cop that actually does something!

You haven't answered my first question - what do YOU do for a living? What contribution to make to society on a daily basis? You ever been shot at?

Somehow, I suspect you have a do nothing job with no responsibility.

What are you a community organizer? Now there's a do nothing job.

If he's a community organizer, chances are that he's been shot at more than the average cop.

Come on! Community Organizers don't get shot at because of the uniform they wear or the car they drive.

I don't see the most famous of them all talking about how dangerous a job it was.

I suspect he is lawyer and too embarrassed to admit it. Which he should be, its the lowest profession of them all. Think of where most of the pols come from.

Apologies to the good guy lawyers.

Wasn't Obama a community organizer!
I'm a stockbroker, I help people make money - lots of responsibility. I also volunteer - coach kids sports - I actually have 5 citizens arrests - chased down 4 black kids stealing bikes in Oak Lawn - all arrested for strong armed robbery - I also chased and caught a black guy downtown who robbed an 80 yr old lady. He was on probation for manslaughter and got 3 years (since I also went to court to testify against him)
FYI - I didn't receive any compensation for any of these arrests. I would also add that if I didn't make them - the do nothing cops would've never caught them!

Stock Broker? What did you fail at before you got into that career?

A stock broker. Aren't they the guys who churn and burn little old ladies out of the life savings.

A stock broker is in the same category as a life insurance salesman, people hide from them.

As for responsibility, give me a break. Its not even your money, so what if you lose it, no skin off your back. That's why there are millions of stock brokers. There are only a few people with the fortitude to be cops.

It doesn't even compare to what cops have to put with. You have a lot of nerve putting down cops.

As for your "heroics", I am sure the cops think you are nuts and probably wish you would let them do their job before you get killed. The need to include race in your stories says a lot.

Of course not; it's only (some) cops and (all of) their groupies (such as yourself) that brag about how dangerous their job is.

Most people (including cops) just do their effing job.

You didn't say what you did!
There are all kinds of stock brokers -but there are a lot of dirtbags out there also. You don't have a clue about the business - so you can spew whatever insults or your opinions because it really doesn't matter what you think. I usually invest my money along with my clients so I have a vested interest ( that means I care for your limited mental capacity)

Cops have fortitude? Doesn't take much nerve to demand free donuts and coffee. Of course the cops thought I was nuts, they don't even do what I did and they're paid to do it! I didn't call it heroic, but thanks for the compliment - I just did what any normal citizen would do. If the cops did thier job - I wouldnt' have had to do it for them. As for including race - it just the truth - but I guess you have a problem with the truth.
