This IS the Packers forum! Retiring #4 against the queens, the team he broke the record on is soooooo sweeeet, and if it's a close game will have throw him on the feild to seal the deal just like last year. 34-0!

Both teams our near the top of the NFL, but the edge has to go to the Pack. They really don't a weak link on their team. Plus they have so much depth at all the positions. People giving the North to Vikings because Favre is gone, need to take a look at the Vikings QBs. I'd take Rodgers and Brohm, over any of their three. Now to all the hype about their so called #1 run defense, very overrated as far as I'm concerned. Unless you're the Bears, why would anybody run against them when you can eat their db's up all day? Their best db is a Packer reject (Sharper,) who is always in the wrong position to make the play. I'm always reminded how sorry he is, every time I turn on the NFL network they're showing him giving up the TD to TD, in the Wildcard Game against the 49ers. The PACK is a more complete team, better overall defense, solid running game, Vikes can't keep up with the BIG FIVE, and we still have a better QB. How soon people forget the 34-0 BEAT DOWN the Pack put on them. Last time I looked Farve didn't play defense, but according to the last game the Vikings don't either.
whow, whow, whow. back it up a couple thou. aaron "fragile bones" rodgers cant even stay healthy as a backup to brett favre. t-jack already has his first year starting under his belt and rodgers hasnt even started a game in his whole half game experience in the nfl. if you go back and look at the game logs for t-jack he only he only five games that he had a quarterback rating of under 80.0. he also had no WR to throw the ball to because everytime he did throw the ball they dropped it 50% of the time. let me breakdown the viking recievers last year for you. sidney rice was a decent reciever but was only a rookie. troy williamson was a bust ever since he came into the league a couple of years. he just had speed to go deep and was it. robert ferguson was an ok WR who is on the downside of his career. billy mcmullen is alright but nothing spectacular. bobby wade, well he is a former bear so that says it all right there. lol. and aundrae allison mainly played special teams. so there you go, t-jack's recievers werent that good at all.

as far as the vikings run defense i really dont know how you can say it is overrated because it was #1 in the league. they only had one RB to run for 100 yards on them in the last two years. and he had one long run on them that game so if you take that away it was under 100. you say teams didnt run on em' because they can burn the DB's but every time someone did try to run they just got stuffed. but now we have the best DE from last with 16 sacks in 14 games. hes also a good run defender as well.

you also brag about the packers tromping on the vikings 34-0. man, you must be pretty good to beat a team who has their 3rd string QB in there. i mean hey if you think beating brooks bollinger is something to be proud of then you must not have very high expectations. brett favre threw all over the vikings because they had no pass rusher and grant or jackson could run on the defense.

oh and i dont really know what you mean when you say the vikes cant keep up with the BIG FIVE.

GO VIKINGS!!!
NFC NORTH DIVISION CHAMPS and SUPER BOWL XLlll HERE WE COME.

2008 predictions:
vikings 12-4
lions 9-7
packers 7-9
bears 3-13

The vikings defense is overated because no run needs to run against them to WIN! So their run defense is a little padded. Also the BIG FIVE is the formation your sorry db's can't handle. It's when Driver, Jennings, Jones, Martin, & Nelson all are spread out. It may even be called Big Six this year if they keep Robinson. Have fun watching it this year. I feel sorry for your db's, I really do. lol Talk about fragile how about AP!

Being a Lions fan I really can't come on here and be all cocky, I can say that I think their defense will be much improved and it looks like they've finally got a runner in Kevin Smith, don't count them out of being in the race for the NFC North crown.

You can't count anybody out, I like their QB he is IMO the most solid in the north right now, with Rodgers still unproven. But to all you Bares and Queens, and Lions fans..... You got to beat the champs to be the champs and Right Now who is the North Champs. Oh that's right The PACK HAHA!

i dont know why you say that you feel sorry for our db's because they wont have to cover driver, jennings, jones, martin, nelson, and robinson for long with jared allen rushing rodgers.

Jared Allen last time he played against Green Bay last year we shut him down so don't go there he overrated. Green Bay will shut him and the Vikings down again.

Yeah, so overrated that he was the only player to average more than 1 sack per game! What a bum!

Blane, your such a jokester.

Your line might have shut him down last year, but how many probowlers were on the same line in KC?

O line will be like swiss cheese! who are you going to double team? lol I'll be here after the game bud.

Not gonna make any "for sure" predictions Blane, but when the Pack played KC they probably did not have to dedicate an extra OL to double-team the rest of the KC defensive linemen. Every team that plays the Vikes have to double-team either Pat or Kevin Williams. Sure they can leave a TE in to chip Jared Allen, but that leaves Ray Edwards or Brian Robison to come around the other end. Anyway, win or lose, Iam so looking forward to that first game.

I would tend to agree.....The MN vikings are a QB short of making a serious run!

TYPICAL PACKER FAN RETORT. I DIDNT SEE ANYTHING IN THERE ABOUT STATS OR FACTS,QUITE TYPICAL OF A G.B. FAN TO SIMPLY WRITE "DONT CRY" WHAT A GENIOUS!13-3 LAST YEAR...LOTS OF TALENT IN THE RECIEVING CORPS BUT THEY HAVE TO HAVE SOMEONE DECENT TO THROW THE BALL. G.B. CANT RUN THE BALL EVEN CLOSE TO THE TALENT THAT MINN HAS.

So why are all these Viking fans posting here anyway? That being said, they haven't had a decent team since Moss was there. The Vikings are one-dimensional on offense and if anything happens to AP, they are toast. Also, their coaching and general management personnel staff are suspect having given those draft choices for a guy that was good in KC. Just because guys were good in one system doesn't mean they will produce in your system. Minnesota added a few other guys who haven't done anything in the Viking system yet, so we can only speculate how effective they will be. Even after all of this GB probably has a better defense and definitely has many more weapons on offense. Case in point was Grant being just as effective as AP once he got going. GB probably has three QB's better than Minnesota's starter. GB's o-line and WR's are vastly superior to anything the Vikes have. Finally, the coaching isn't that close either. Minnesota's only chance is to hope Rogers sucks, but I think this guy will put up respectable numbers in 08, then look-out in 09. GB is a 10-12 win team in 08 and if Rogers produces, a 12-14 win team in 09.
