How many legislators "fall off the wagon"? The party leaders demand strict adherence to the party line. Research all of your Dem. friends and tell us how frequently most of them voted along the party line. you wil find out its the way washington does business!! Reality what a concept!!

The beatings will continue until morale improves is a famous quote of questionable origin. It describes how morale, possibly in a military unit, will be kept high through the use of physical violence.

That is as many presidents as we have had in the last 100 years. There has not been a president with less experience in the last 100 years. He has not been a war hero. he has not been appointed to high federal office for long periods. He has not been a governor. He has not completed his first term. He is a rookie

George W. Bush is both the world's biggest terrorist, and has now signed the biggest expansion of government power into private enterprise to the tune of $700 Billion. Initially proposed by his Treasury Secretary.
Not to mention illegal wiretapping, the Patriot Act, and GitMo.
For a conservative he has doubled the national debt due to out of control spending.
And according to John McCain, "I've voted with the President over 90% of the time." His words, not mine.
Young Thunda, who else signed this proposed bill? Hmm, let me think, oh yes, thats right OBAMA. Wow. I don't agree with the bill either, but it certainly doesn't reflect terrorism. That's a bit of LOL for me.

Guess what the wire tapping, patriot act, and gitmo was for? How do we say, umm... TO STOP TERRORISTS?

And you think BUSH is responsible for the out of control spending? WOOOAH NELLY just wait till Obama steps in office, his propsed universal healthcare alone would cost more than the 700 billion billion bailout plans.

And to everyone saying Bush is the reason the economy is in the state it's in, flip on your beloved CNN and you'll notice we're not the only country hurting. The whole world is. I supposed he's the blame for all other nation's woes as well? Hmm...

Liberals and their self-contradictions. It's quite silly, actually.

The only thing -(and I mean the "only" thing)- Obama has not promised voters yet is "restitution."

This guy is a "con-job."

Maybe he will tell us about his plan for "restitutions" after the election.

VOTE McCain-Palin 2008 !!!

Funniest thing of all is that the Congress WRITES the laws!! The best they can offer is a hope that congress agrees with their pronouncements.

<quoted text>You don't like lies. Neither do I. Can you explain this lie? Obama has said 95% of the people will have lower taxes. Only people making over $250,000 will have a tax increase. Have I stated that fairly? The starting point for the top 5% is not $250,000. If you make $153,000 you are in the top 5%. Lots of hard working people will be hit by higher taxes. That leaves the 95%, but about 30 to 40% of those tax payers have taxes taken out but all they paid in and maybe more is paid back to them. How can you lower taxes on the 40% who pay zero taxes? How can you pay lower than zero?

if they would limit all politicians to 2 terms and take the money out of politics, we'd find out who the honest people were and who really wanted to help the American people..i'm tired of these lifers like John Kerry, Joe Biden and yes John Mccain...these people sit in office year after year and do nothing but pad their own pockets and set themselves up for life...it's BS and it should stop

Let's be honest shall we, Barack Hussein Obama is as American as Apple Pie! Never mind the turban on his head, he's merely trying to keep his head warm. He doesn't salute the American Flag and refuses to acknowledge our country's anthem by placing his hand over his heart because of his deep Muslim (I mean Christian) values...right? The stock market should be the least of our concerns in light of what we are about to do to ourselves when we elect the first "Non" American citizen into the office of the Presidency.

Here are my answers to your questions.
1) Drop a big, really big bomb
Yeah that should work. Let's kill millions of innocent people and validate their perception of us. That should go a long way to keeping us safe.

It may be a tongue in cheek statement, but there are many in a position to influence policy that believe that the best way to peace is through violence.

Violence begets violence. The only time that isn't true is in the face of overwhelming force. Then violence begets patience, and then violence.

The end result is always violence.
To- Young Thunda wrote:
<quoted text>2) Stop sending aid to countries who hate America
I agree. But it is irresponsible to base the bulk of your energy policy on more drilling at a time when:

1) America has 3% of the world's reserves, yet uses 25% of the resources, and

2) Even experts acknowledge that it will be 7 - 10 years before any of that oil comes to the market

All the while, McCain continues to discredit the fact that we have had alternative energy sources for two decades now. Interesting considering how much support he enjoys among the Big Oil clique.
To- Young Thunda wrote:
<quoted text>3) End the proliferaton of pork in every bill
If you really believe that is the source of our exploding debt you're missing the elephant in the room of the $10 Billion a Month Iraq war, and the Trillion Dollar Bush tax cuts.
To- Young Thunda wrote:
<quoted text>4) End the free ride system, post signs, Get a job or buy a boat
Easier said than done when failed policies have led to the loss of 780,000 jobs so far this year alone. Most good paying, white collar jobs replaced by greeter positions at Wal Mart.

Of course, Obama's proposal to invest in renewable energy creation which leads to the creation of millions of green industry jobs would actually fit your proposal.
To- Young Thunda wrote:
<quoted text>That should do it
Nice try, but fact is, none of his proposals have dealt with how he is going to accomplish these aims all at the same time.

<quoted text>Obama is going to hurt me because as he said yesterday he is going to spread the wealth. It is my wealth that I worked for he is spreading:) It belongs to me not you
I'm not interested in your wealth. You can keep it. LOL I don't envy what others have earned, but in a Capitalist economy, self-restraint must be exercised, or the kind of imbalance we have today will occur and Capitalism will fail. I'm not in the LEAST happy about that possibility, because I believe in Capitalism.

Since the polarity in wealth in this nation has NEVER been greater between the wealthy and the rest, I'd say we have to hit YOUR pocketbook (and mine) rather than the middle class. Are you one of those people who made oodles of money off of hiring illegals? I don't care what happens to them, and if their businesses are shuttered, well - good going.

Nobody ever gave this family anything. My husband and I worked our ways through college, and built whatever we have today working as a team. We didn't run up the credit cards, we kept excellent credit ratings and we raised our children (five altogether) to stand on their own feet and do likewise. They haven't let us down.

But, I don't like what is happening to the most vulnerable - those with only a high school education or less. They are being shoved aside for illegals, and it ticks me off beyond belief. I don't like importing poverty and creating a burgeoning underclass. I don't want to see us one day look like Mexico looks. We don't have enough jobs in this country that require a college education for everybody to obtain one (even IF they could). But, we owe it to every American to see that if a man/woman puts in a full work week, he/she will earn a living wage. And, ANY job should leave a person BETTER OFF than living on welfare. Well, it doesn't. Something is REALLY wrong with this picture. Time to make a change and time to SAVE the middle class from extinction. Lose the middle class, and you lose the Republic. JMO.
