There is no consequences to actions anymore. What is a few years in jail, get fed and educated and still get out and go on with life. Yet Sean's family can't.

Why can't they be tried as adults? Is this a Florida law? He 9the accused) committed a premeditated crime to break in and then murdered an innocent person. I believe he was quite old enough to be responsible for his actions, so why can't he be tried as an adult??? When he realized someone was home he had a choice...pull the trigger or run. He chose to kill. so, he should die. Sorry, I'm all for the death penalty.

As long as the 4 people involved never, and I mean never ever, get to leave jail then justice has been served.

I agree, the person that did the shooting should be tried as an adult. He will go to jail, get free room and board, TV to watch, education and than get released and do the crime again. What are we teaching these juveniles that killing is alright and all you have to do is go to jail; I think he should get the death penalty just like everybody else does. Hopefully, when he goes to prison it is hell for him. I think we should have a prison system like they do overseas in Japan, there is no TV, education, etc and if you want a meal your family has to bring it to you. If we had this type of system, than I don't think our prisons would be overcrowded because it isn't a free room and board, TV, education, etc.

I agree with all of of the statments. The young man may have been 17 when he commited the crime. But he has to realize that if you think you are man enough to do the crime, then be man enough to to do the TIME.

come to think of it, the death penalty sends a message that we have such a low opinion of these animals that we don't even want to pay for free room and board to make them suffer for the rest of their life. just freaking end it.

If the young people who are sent to Iraq to fight and die for this country and they haven't done anything but join one of our military units, then young persons who carry guns and use them in a felony that results in the death of a human being should be subject to the death penalty. What are we supposed to do, take care of them in our jails for the next 50-60 years or longer? It isn't fair. At some point before it's too late, our young people need to know that for every action they perform there are consequences. What about the family of Sean Taylor, don't you think they wanted him to live out his full life?
The death penalty is not too harsh. They murdered a human being. People are punished more harshly for killing animals!!!!!!!!!

I wish he were being tried in Texas, and that Sean had played for the Cowboys. They wouldn't even have had to have the trial! They would have hung him high!

Oh boy! 4 more little Miami hoodrats that I get to pay the freight for their room and board for the rest of their miserable, worthless lives. Maybe if we as taxpayers are lucky, they will get a good dose of "jailhouse justice".

Amen to that! I certainly agree. I say bring home our troops over in Iraq and replace them w/those that want to carry guns and kill for no reason or for selfish reasons. Save the worthwhile lives and get rid of the misserable ones.

Good. Don't make them face the Death Penalty. Turn 'em around and shoot them in the back...
