For goodness sakes, too much ado about nothing. Can't someone make a mistake. One hears of men in high places lying all of the time. I have always enjoyed Robert's show and am sorry to see him go.

i'm horrified. who cares that robert irvine lied. he apologized. let him apologize at the start of the new season and get over it. we love him and his cooking and his sincerity and funniness with the guests. symon, his restaurant, and his iron chef cooking sucks. as an african american this really irks me because there's such little diversity on the food network. a couple of black folks. a latina. not usually in prime time. so i'll take a british accent as ethnicity. symon is the same old food network boys club.

How different is this from what happened with Bear Grylls on "Man vs. Wild"?

I hate the changes to this great show. I'm bailing in favor of top chef repeats rather than new host/new format. Who cares if the guy lied, unless his food sucked, whats the big deal. They show Rachel Ray and shes not exactly a culinary genius.

Well we watched Irvine every Wednesday night. The group of us who watched are no longer going to. We understand he tol some small fibs but for goodness sake havent we all. Food Network needs to get over it and put him back on. Nobody likes Symons.

Well, one more show to tune out.
I like Robert Irvine. He did something wrong, but apologized. Instead of accepting the apology and letting him continue to entertain us, I expect the Food Network to serve him up as the Secret Ingredient on Iron Chef America.
Anthony Bourdain will be the special host.

I could really care less that Chef Irvine fibbed on his resume. He could do the job and he did it with style. The new host just doesn't cut the mustard. Bring Robert back!!!!!!!!!!

I watch the food network channel often.
Certainly understand most important quality of the network is honest and not disception. Understand why
Chef Michael Symon taking over 'Dinner Impossible'
Certainly he makes a very good replacement and has a his own unique style.
'Dinner Impossible' always enjoy watching!

Good luck Chef Symon, you may be an Iron Chef but I don't think anyone can fill the Dinner Impossible shoes of Chef Irvine. Food TV you missed on this one, I thought you were going to bring Robert back, I will look for him on another network after all Emeril landed on his feet when you dumped him!

I watched Micahel Symon trying to repalce Robert Irvine last night- I won't ever make the same mistake of watching again- it looked kind of desperate and the food looked grim

ask me if I care about Irvine's "embellished" resume. He's incredibly entertaining. Chef Symon (and I use the term chef loosely) actually GIGGLES during his first episode. His grammar is also atrocious.
Sigh...I'm disappointed that I have lost one of my favorite shows.

Did someone at Food Network not check his references? Honestly, someone dropped the ball there since this has been blown up into such a big deal. The man could cook and was entertaining to boot. Most of the blame should be laid on the person who did not do proper research of his resume.

They should've just cancelled the show instead of trying to replace the host. I don't even enjoy watching him on Iron Chef. I'm done watching the show. I'm sick of the political correctness in this country that will ruin everything.

Watching that show is a hour of my life wasted. Symon was dry, boring beyond belief. I would rather chew a mouth full of corn starch then watch him again! RIP Dinner Impossible.

While I appreciate the moral code that FN upheld, I regret that it rendered a judgement that was totally unfair. Robert Ervine misrepresented his past accomplishements on his resume. However, as the old saying goes, the proof is in the pudding. No food network guru can do what Robert does time after time with such flair and charm. And from these other comments, the fans for Michael Symon are few. Regretably, the show has to morph and dumb down to accomidate his lack of skill in the kitchen. It's not too late to say a mistake was made in letting Robert go. DI, as it is now, is a failure.

The first show with Michael Simon was really bad. Even if Robert lied about some facts he could really get the job done. He will end up elsewhere as Emeril has done. Food network is going downhill.
