The Sheriff was trying to kill King Richard not Prince John. He was in leage with Prince John. Just wanted to let you know.

Ummm, don't you mean the Sheriff's failure to kill King Richard?

Small point really, but the sheriff and Gisborne attempted to kill King Richard, not Prince John. Prince John will be appearing in season three, played by Toby Stephens.

Also joining cast in season three are William Houston, Joanne Froggatt and Lara Pulver, the latter two playing a new woman in the forest for robin and gisborne's sister respectively.

It wouldn't be the first time a Robin Hood series has survived the departure of the title character. In the eighties, "Robin of Sherwood" successfully killed off and replaced the title character.

Why don't we have 16 other people point out the same inaccuracy in the story?

I'm still trying to get over what happened at the end of the show last week. I am so PISSED off that I am not sure I will bother to watch the third season.

The way season 2 ended what's the point of continuing the story? Now the show can never end the way it any good Robin Hood should end. I've never seen a more depressing version of Robin Hood. There's no coming back from this massive jump the shark season ending. The rest of the series, however long that is, is just pointless. I don't think I'll continue to watch.

For what it's worth, reports from location filming say that ALL cast have been signed for the 3rd season. Take that as you will...

By the Sheriff failing to kill Prince John I assume you mean his failed plot to kill King Richard in the Holy Land which is shown in the series 2 finale. Vassey the corrupt Sheriff of Nottingham is friends with Prince John. It was the intention of the Sheriff to kill King Richard so Prince John could become King and the Black Knights could divide up England amongst themselves.

I am disappointed also in the ending of season 2 and am questioning watching the 3rd season...I will only watch if they bring back my fav. character...but I dont see how its possible.. I also read that Robin wasnt going to do a season 4 and I certainly wont watch if he goes...

OKay so aside from the fact that Marian is killed and we're all in a rage..that was one of the WORST and most unrealistic death scenes I have ever watched. As if she would be able to articulate so well.

Next point...you know in the actual robin hood stories, him and marian do NOT live happily ever. She gets married to some other schmuck guy and Robin DIES.

I really liked the IDEA of marian being in this version of the story and the IDEA of Robin and her living happily ever after, but the reality is that this was a TERRIBLE depiction of Marian. She was really an annoying whore, I was severely disappointed. At many parts during the first and second season (where she continuously causes trouble for robin) I was like, "oh SCREW THIS. If I was robin I would be like,'lady, WTF is your problem? I am going to duct tape you to me and that way you have to stay out of trouble, SHEESH!'"

REally ridiculous depiction of Marian and REALLY ridiculous death sequence. So long. I do not think Lucy will make it in Hollywood as she so desires.

i've always watched robin hood i was once in a play as robin hoodand i loved it althougth its a shame theres only going to be one more seasonaround the last of the season he had killed more than i would have liked. but im sure the next show with jonas armstrong is gonna be an amazing one.
