There should be a Moonlight movie for the fans.

Personally I think they should revive MOONLIGHT and give it a better time slot, and then they can watch the ratings soar. Other than that, I'm all for anything they cast Alex in, as he's a wonderful actor, but my first choice would be a MOONLIGHT revival. CBS cancelled a wonderful series that had great potential, and if they had put it in a prime time slot,I believe it would have fared much better. CBS knows it was in a dead zone...as they moved Flashpoint from that self same slot and consigned Swingtown to it, which most likely will kill that series too.

In my opinion, what is Alex's return without Sophia? The big draw for me with "Moonlight" was the character of Beth, and she and Mick had great chemistry. I'd check out a new show with him but would love to see Sophia Miles on a new show as well (preferably not on CBS because we all know it would only last a season or part of a season and then be unceremoniously yanked to the great dismay of the fans...)

We all know what a fabulous actor Alex O'Loughlin is and he will be great in any new project he pursues. But Moonlight deserved better than poor promotion, a dead time slot and premature cancellation. But the fans aren't going anywhere. While they will back Alex in anything he does, they/I want Moonlight back. Case closed.

Glad I never got involved with the show, I learned my lesson with CBS. If they put out something good, it'll be yanked, so why waste my time. Best of luck to this actor though.

Thats great for Alex, happy for him but still upset with CBS for their cancellation of Moonlight. I faithfully watched every episode with family and I will miss the show. I will not be watching any new programs on CBS this season for they have disappointed American viewers 2years in a row with the cancellation of Jericho and then the realization of the mistake. Then putting together a shell of what the show was and telling those of us who loved the show to find new viewers when the show was a family show at 8pm and they moved it to a dead time period of Tuesday nights at 10pm. And then the cancellation of the Peoples Choice winner for best new show MOONLIGHT. I have no confidence in CBS that if I invest in a new show they will even keep it on the air. Best of luck Alex.

That is good news for Alex and I am very glad for him.

The sad part is CBS already had him in a hit series and they were too blind to see it. Yes, we loved Alex as Mick St John. For goodness sake! He created the Mick St John character we all love! We also love Sophia and Jason - they also breathed life into their endearing characters. We love Moonlight the show and everything about it! I am so frustrated over trying to understand why Ms. Tassler has trouble understanding that we love Alex in the role of Mick St John on Moonlight AND everyone else associated with the show.

If Alex is in another show, I will watch because I do want to support him. Hopefully it will be a show that really works for him and showcases his talent and not CBS trying to mold him into a role that matches their "CSI" family.

Like many others, I am eagerly waiting for the 16 episodes of Moonlight to come out on DVD. Moonlight fans are hoping we get at least a Moonlight movie. Even if it goes straight to DVD, at least we will have a continuation of the storyline with Mick, Beth, Josef & Croaline. There is still so much left to tell.

Ok, so I'm not sure exactly how this 'talent holding deal' thing works, but it seems to me that CBS can put Alex in any show they choose to for the next year. That being said, do you think CBS could be holding onto Alex to see how their new fall shows do and also what kind of ratings all the new vampire shows get on the other networks, that way if they want Moonlight for a mid-season replacement he will be available (if they haven't already placed him in another project).

I know I'm reaching... but I have to hold onto at least a little bit of hope!

It was growing on me. Had they tweaked it quicker, might've really soared. They had too many *goofy* parts - had they made it sophisticated and high tech, would have been much better. He sure was nice to watch.

Hmmmm......
CBS needs to give that kind of a deal to:
SKEET ULRICH
GERALD MCRANEY
LENNIE JAMES

They were AWESOME in JERICHO, another CBS show that should NOT have been cancelled.

This is great news for Alex, and I am one of those fans who will follow him anywhere. Alex is a great actor. But it was his mannerisms and the particular romantic storylines and relationships with Beth and Josef in Moonlight that grabbed me and wouldn't let go. Those expressions ... that long, sexy hair ... I wish CBS would realize that Alex as anything will be great, but Alex as the character of Mick St. John is a thing of absolute beauty.

I am happy for Alex because Alex is a great talent in whatever he does...During the wait and campaign for Moonlight I sought out some of Alex's prior projects, which are not all mentioned besides ML, The Shield, The Invisable...He also starred and co-produced, in his native AU, a movie called "Feed", he's brilliant as a psyco. but this movie is not for the faint hearted...He starred in a delightful romantic comedy called "Oyster Farmer" plus another TV series in AU called Black Jack...And speaking of Aussie TV, Alex was nominated twice for Aussie TV's equivalent of our emmy for his role of Will Bryant in the "Incredible Journey of Mary Bryant" a 2 hour miniseries based on truth of a woman's courage in the early penal colonly begun in Australia...

Yet I hope for his sake that CBS is not just jerking him around again & CBS needs to get rid of Nina Tassler for good; she is bringing a network down to failure & doom by knowing nothing about what we want...

Yes we all love what we have come to know of Alex from Moonlight... I, for one, never saw him before... But we all want him back in a show that seemed made just for him, his expressive manner, & his sensitive & sensual nature...We want Alex back in Moonlight with Sophia (no other female lead, I have noted in his other projects can bring across the chemistry with him as Sophia can...He is great, the other females just are not his match), Jason and Shannyn, too (heard rumor about Shannyn joining "Dexter"...oh goodness, please don't put her on that SICK show!!!)

I must agree with my Moonlight Family that has posted here & Kelcouch you've hit on something quite possible indeed...I do hope they are not using Alex...We Moonlight fans are upset enough without CBS making a scapegoat out of our favorite vampire...

PS to Nina Tassler:

I truly do not know how you achieved your position at the President of Entertainment for CBS???

You were quoted as saying that Moonlight fans were actor-centric... Would you mind telling me how someone like you keeps their position without understanding that? For the most part, it is the actors that draw fans to view produtions they, the actors, are appearing in, not just the storyline...And in the case of Moonlight ALL of its actors were fantastic as they breathed life in to their own character...Through their fine conveyances the storylines were sought weekly as they, the actors in Moonlight, continued to unfold this appealing story...

Nina, when are you going to get a clue that Vampires draw an audiences for many decades now??? And the vampires of Moonlight, including Mick St John, were all the most appealing vampires, I for one, have ever viewed on screen... But the ideal characteristic about all of these vampires was their former human side showed throught & their images on the tv screen could be watched unafraid by all age groups...

Yes, Nina, I said all age groups, your Neilsen ratings are inaccurate... As a matter of fact you are now saying Moonlight only had a little over 7.5 million viewers. Well how can you possibly not realize that in front of most TVs there are more than one person??? And how can you ignore that ML drew in 10 million votes to win the PCA Best New Drama Award??? And how can you not know that many fans watched Moonlight via their computers or that many fans did not get Moonlight in other countries until mid-season...

Are you not noting here by these statistics, Nina, that your accusations against the show, Moonlight, itself, are proving your statements to be false...

In my opinion, Nina, you were Dead Wrong for cancelling Moonlight and this decision will follow you out the door of CBS with your final paycheck sooner than you like...We, Moonlight fans, all pray for that... Then CBS can see fit to give their audiences quality shows again without your bad judgement calls...Until that time comes, in my opinion, you are the faulty center which will finally bring down the final curtain on this network, CBS...

Then, hopefully, someone with intelligence, will bring back Moonlight with our favorite cast, Alex, Sophia, Jason, Shannyn, et al, to us, the show * acotrs favorite fans...

Just when the Vampire genre is HOT again (Note the popularity of Stephenie Meyers books etc), CBS pulls the best series they had in years! MOONLIGHT had good ratings and a fan base dedicated to the show! It won the Peoples Choice Award for best new drama.
Alex is a great actor and will be wonderful in whatever he chooses to do--however I WANT MY MOONLIGHT! I want Mick St John, and I want Beth and Josef and all the rest!
Get a clue CBS people and put the darned thing back on! At lease you've got Alex under contract so get the others tied up before you blow the whole deal! Without Sophia Miles it'll never fly with fans!
BRING BACK MOONLIGHT and stop pooping around with NEW series that are gonna flop for sure, because THE FANS WANT MICK ST JOHN!
I can't believe Nina is getting paid the big bucks to so totally lose the best show they had!
MOONLIGHT COULD HAVE GONE ON TO THE BIG SCREEN AND BEEN THE NEXT XFILES OR STAR TREK!!!!
Personally I'm still boycotting CBS for this stupid move, and most of the other shows they have hold no interest for me in any event!
Alex--Hang in there---you deserve more than being jerked around like this!!!!
MOONLIGHT FOREVER!!!!!!!!!!

The decision to cancel Moonlight stinks. My friends and I watched that faithfully,we loved it. That is the whole issue with watching new shows. We get hooked on them and you cancel them. It sucks. I am now down to two shows I watch on CBS, Survivor and Two and a Half Men.
