Hospitals are declaring bankruptcy and closing their doors because of the federal healthcare laws.
Don't overlook the welfare money being dolled out as well.
Personal Responsibility and Work Opportunity Reconciliation Act of 1996 (PRWORA). One section of PRWORA, the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF), replaced the Aid to Families with Dependent Children (AFDC), in effect since the Social Security Act of 1935. Despite President Bill Clinton’s promise to “end welfare as we know it,”
PRWORA is just another congressional giveaway to illegal aliens who also receive assistance from SSI (supplemental security income), food stamps, and WCI (women, children, infants) benefits.
Obviously foreigners have been flocking to these free services. The US Supreme Court has also decided that no K - 12 illegal will be denied public education.
Americans are finally putting pressure on their elected officials to address this problem. The immigration reform bill died in congress last year. And according to the Center for Immigration Studies the number of illegals are down 11% since Aug 2007. Enforcement (raids) and a down turn in the economy have 1.2 illegals leaving the US. No deportation, they're leaving on their own!
So maybe immigration enforcement is the answer to curbing the flow of tax dollars being handed out so freely!
