It's time for a "VI" day, victory in Iraq! A ticker tape parade in NYC with all the GIs marching in victory. Democrats and Republicans voted to go into Iraq and we did, not without some fine tuning, and we have stabilized the country! BOTH sides of the political asile can be proud! GW didn't do it alone, the entire country did it! Lets have a celebration!!!! I guess Obama can be a protester at the celebration. Obama still refuses to give any credit to the US troops for the stabilization, sunday on TV Obama attributed the success to war lords coming together in Iraq to call a truce. Yeah, we were supposed to use that for reconstruction ... what happened? Why are we paying for reconstruction and they're making billions of dollars? What is wrong with this picture? Yes, contracts are going to US oil companies, but that will be their money, not ours. The US taxpayer is taking it in the shorts after Rumsfeld and Bush told us that Iraq oil would finance the rebuilding of that country. At this point, I'm willing to accept we invaded for oil. So do I. Let's start with the repubs, the party of power. Then any demos who aren't on board with a new agenda, free of lobbyists and ultralibs, need to go. I think we can start sliding a 3rd party in there. Most incumbents need to leave, but let's try to restore some of the balance of power first, get back to the fundamentals of the constitution. |

It probably wouldn't be such a concern except for his connection with a similar group, the Project for a New American Century, a group of Pinky and the Brain wannabes, which advocated world domination by the U.S. by military force. In 1998 letter to Clinton they advocated a preemptive attack on Iraq. Administration members of this organization were Paul Wolfowitz, Donald Rumsfeld, John Bolton, Scooter Libby, Dick Cheney, Richard Armitage and Richard Perle. I recently noted that PNAC member Randy Scheunemann is an advisor to John McCain. There may be others, too. This indicates to me that a McCain administration would be a continuation of the Bush family empire principles (or the lack of them).
