2 They are Above the law when they should be a prime example of it. Why is thier word taken over yours when you swear the same othe on the bible. Being A cop extends to their familys. And If You are a good Cop You must keep it hid cause the others won't let you be. One day soon you may have to police your self. Guilty till proven Innocent what a screwed up world |

3 Its all around ugly, but you people are blaming the wrong people. The woman who denied was hardly innocent. She knew her boyfriend sold crack, and was active in assisting him, and profiting from it. Hard to see why the NAACP wants to protect drug dealers and they're girlfriends, since the crack trade has essentially destroyed poor black communities all across America. I guess they don't mind when black people kill black people, just when whites do it. |

1 I am so sick of people like you who think everyone just asks for trouble. Go to this story and see what happens even if you do nothing wrong. This is our world today. It doesn't matter if you're good or bad, innocent or guilty. They can take you out irregardless and get away with it. http://www.twincities.com/allheadlines/ci_100... This guys life if totally messed up and no one is looking back. He will have to sue to get any retribution. |

1 That story isn't really relevant to this one... |

1 The only people I'm blaming are the ones who chose a misdemeanor charge to try the officer on. I'm not talking about his acquittal. I just think that the CHARGE itself should have been something along the lines of involuntary manslaughter or something like that. When someone is shot and killed no matter what the circumstances, it should not be just a misdemeanor charge. |

Yeah, I did hear about that one. I'm not sure what the administration was thinking on that one. |

I feel for both parties involved. I am a human being and that is how it is. I feel for the cop because he had to go through this. It is hard enough to be a police office but to be a police officer who;in doing a job to protect us; ended up killing a woman with a child. Does not matter her color but the fact that she was in the wrong place. What mother in their right mind would want to live through something like that? A mother who knows no better apparently. One who was not thinking of her children but thinking of a drug addiction and the money that can be made from the drugs. I feel for the child/children because he/she/they didn't ask to be brought into this world riddled with killings, drugs, crimes...
Those who are cop haters on here, who do you call when someone is coming after you and your scared? Do you dial 911? I really hope so because after all, they are here to protect everyone including your sorry butt. |

Interesting how race always has to part of the media's motivation to write. Who's the racist? I do not, however, understand why the police don't make verbal demands to "come out with you're hands up" before blasting away. We have the same stupidity going on here in Mpls, but in Mpls you get a medal for breaking and entering then shooting at people. Ahhh, visions of things to come if Obama and the Dems win this year, except law abiding citizen's won't have guns to protect themselves.

"come out with you're hands up"
Probably not realistic when you are hearing gunshots that you think are intended for you as the story stated. Would you suggest yelling "freeze" after shooting her? It's kinda the same thing. |

Gee, where do stereotypes come from?
