Could you imagine if that classroom had a clapper? Lights on, clap clap.. Lights off... clap clap. That child would have been scarred for life and probably require constant medication and supervision! All I can say is.. GET REAL! Wizardy!? How can anyone in the 21st century even accuse someone of that with a straight face? Better question would then be. What century is Pasco County in? No wonder Florida ranks in the bottom 20% of schools by state. With stuff like this happening one can only wonder if they will burn him at the stake or the water test next?

I can't believe how f*&%$ng stupid these people are. This is the most ridiculous thing I've ever read. Truly amazing, do they have common sense - apparently NOT.

This is disgraceful and beyond idiotic. I don't know about anyone else but the superintendent will be getting a letter from me. I urge everyone else to do the same as well if you aren't already. This injustice should not go unpunished!

Principal's Position:

This stems from the very logical idea that if a person weighs the same as a duck, then that person is made of wood (because both ducks and wood float in water). And since wood burns (just like witches) then that person must be a witch, because witches are made of wood.

Therefore, the accused person(s) would be placed on a scale next to a duck, and if they balanced, the person(s) would be burned.

So, if he weighs the same as a duck, then he's made of wood. And therefore... A WITCH! or WIZARD!

Remember people, you are hearing from the side of the person who got fired. He is upset and angry and we all know similiar situations in which the same people twist and turn things upside down rather than admitting their own fault.

The School Board has changed its story to indicate that he was fired for not following the absent teacher's lesson plans. Bull Plop.

That stinks like a coverup, to cover for the paranoid fundimentalists on the board.

As we ALL know, a sub for just one or two days never follows the lesson plan, they just teach some kind of lesson or tell stories, etc.

Seriously, it is time for the citizens of Georgia and Alabama to take out their saws and axes and chop Florida off of the continent. They simply cannot be trusted to play responsibly with the rest of the country.

Wow, what an absolutely insane school. A simple bit of sleight of hand and the sub gets fired? Absolutely unreal. Sounds like he was a nice teacher just interested in keeping the attention of his class. Hopefully some other school district in need of teachers snaps him up.

This thing keeps growing. I hope he sues the school board. I am willing to contribute to a legal fund. If the other reasons given were the real ones, and pretty ridiculous in themselves, he should already have been fired and not in class that day. I've had cases where it takes 15 minutes to get the roll called. They come in talking and do not stop. I lay responsibility for behavior with the parents first and then the regular teacher, and if I don't know them I am not likely to take the assignment.

Sweet merciful...when did we get transported to some remote jungle village? Seriously? When sleight of hand tricks make people yell "Augh! Demons!" and fire people, something really needs to be done. Especially in a school. Where these idiots are teaching our young.
