I am glad one court had the good sense to hold someone responsible for their OWN actions, instead of blaming a corporate entity.

I guess the parents job is to sur, not protect, as least in the opinion of this girls parents.

Next they should sue the ISP, and the computer manufacturer, and how about the company that made the chair she was sitting on, or the homebuilder.
there are so many more to make responsible for the job they should have been doing. |

The girl misrepresented herself, suing was a display of arrogance, and what's wrong with society...no one wants to take responsibility for their children.

It is so breathtaking that I see that there are actually real people out there that believe you are responsible for your actions and that parents should keep track of their children. Bravo. I have always believed that parents need to teach their children when they are young the difference between right and wrong and what respect is. If children and adults do not have respect for themselves, they will not show it to anyone else. It is great to see that our court system has some people that believe that also.

So the parents had no responsibility in this? They should have known what she was up to.

A quick buck gone wrong type of law suit. Glad to hear that the Court dismissed this one. And, where the hell were her breeders when she got herself ready to meet this 19 year old pervert. A lot of unanswered questions regarding the supervision that was provided by the breeders.

Lack of parenting is no reason the website s/b held accountable. It was her own fault.... and never have I said it was a victims fault, but if she was misrepresenting herself..... well then.... I am sorry it happened, but her parents should of been better parents. And she should of known better with all thats happeneing around here anymore.

I taught mine to NOT put themselves in a situation where something terrible can happen. You are responsible in your own health and welfare too.
