Somebody needs to find a way to make it so the bafoons in tallahassee can read these comments......then maybe they would get the idea that the citizens of florida didn't elect them to debate something that has absolutely nothing to do with the business of florida....like finding the money to fund necessary items like public safety and such and find ways to get more oil out of the gulf of mexico so we can be part of the coalition to get rid of foriegn oil.... now that's a novel idea!

This is great! Florida NEEDS its legislature to be concentrating on stuff like this. Whenever they take on real issues like the economy, education (especially education!), taxes, insurance, prison reform and the like, they drag Florida a bit farther down. It's getting so even Mississippi looks pretty good. We need more (and longer) debate on burning issues like TruckNutz.

No surprise that this debate came about from a republican ... and I agree that this looks very much like a violation of our first amendment ... I am curious exactly how this can be classified as a moving violation ... it's amazing that on the complaint of a few people they are willing to cast aside the rights of others ... just unbelievable
as far as the post about telling the legislators that we will get rid of them next election ... that is exactly what needs to happen ... when we as a society stand up and stop re-elexting these fools things will begin to change if they are successful at getting this ban passed there will certainly be ramifications ... |
"I find it shocking we'd tell people with metallic testicles on their bumpers that this is a violation," said Sen. Steve Geller, D-Hallandale. "There's got to be better things for us to spend time debating."
I couldn't agree more. Although I think these items are stupid, the government should try to make a law about everything. INSANE!!! |

Obviously, there's not a Tallahassee politician with a decent pair. Jeez, this is what these fools are discussing on OUR dime! Gas, soon to be $3.50 ... these idiots need to be shown the business end of a buggy whip! What the hey, they're politician - most have never done an honest days work in their lives.
Pass me a scotch, and some campaign contribution! MississippiSteve |

And I thought we had stupid representatives in NC.

Y'all ever heard of the 1st Ammendment to the Constitution of the United Staates of America?????

The proposed law will never, ever come close to passing the Miller test for obscenity. No way, no how. In the end the good people of Florida will just end up reimbursing Truck Nutz tens of thousands of dollars in legal fees. Both lawyers for the State and Truck Nutz will be the only winners from this action.
And there goes your taxes going even higher as we speak with again nothing of use from Tallahassee. In the vernacular of the Internet: FAIL. |
This is why your state has it's very own "stupid" tag on fark.
This just goes to show that it has been too long since a hurricane has come through and made some "improvements" to the state of Florida (specifically Sen. Baker's office). What a waste of time by our elected officials.

Seriously? That is what they are spending taxpayer dollars on? Pathetic.
You mean to tell me that we are paying our top politcal members to spend the day talking and making new law about a truck decal. This is not what they need to be doing. What about our budget crisis, what about the first responders or police and fire members losing there jobs because there is no money? Something needs to be done and hold these people accountable for there lack of work. Mike Deason is a great reporter, I think that he can get a great story on this

I got a giant cawk hanging from my subaru. Will that be next?
How about the cost of police cars going home to sit unused everynight with employees? What about Pam Iorio's new Prius. The Crown Vic was at least paid for. The prius saves $330 a year on gas. Too bad the payment is $365 a month.....
Maybe these fat a$$holes need to get a real job rather than making up more excuses for their on salary increases. |

figures, small gov means big gov in your life.
Obscene? tasteless yes but obscene... Florida has some of the most absurd BS is in the nation |

Would you, Tired of liberals, know one if you heard one, doubt it. Please people, look up liberal. I suspect that the pols of Tampa are much like the rest of that area... social conservatives who like to blame others for that which they have created.
Though I am with you on the V8s being driven by off duty LEOs but I can give you one more peeve, the fact that the officers drive like they are in a 1/4 mile drag race and wasting fuel. |

That's a bunch of bull balls... I mean, bullshit.
