Pinellas County officials are constantly in the news for fraud, decite, and just poor government. Time for the citizens to vote them all out and demand a honest government. Thieves!!!

For somebody to make a statement such as this they need to back it up with a history of the fraud and decite that they are talking about.

Did not Mr. Welch in his letter to the St Pete Just the other day state he did question the deal. Now he says "if I knew then what I know now I wouldn't have supported the transaction". Sorry you can't have it both ways you are not victim here it's the citizens of Pinellas County that have been victimized. The BOCC should stand for Bureau Of Crooks and Crimnals.

Again, I just want my Penny back from the "Penny for Pinellas" Just some more proof that the county does not how to spend this money properly.
We need some new blood in these county offices and just remember this on the next election day.

Each county commissioner had a packet WITH THE INFO REGARDING THE JIM SMITH OWNERSHIP. Each one of them is negligent in either A) not reading their materials and being coached in advance by Mr. Spratt on how to vote in session (in my opinion, typical) or B) they read the packer info and had no problem with the transaction with the tax appraiser. Mr. Deeson, great job, keep the pressure up. As someone in the forfront of the Preserve the preserve battles in Pinellas, I know full well how completely bogus these folks are.

Shame on all the high goverment officals, In a time of laying off county employees and buget cuts what does this tell our citizens about what Pinellas county stands for. The money spend on that land could have kept some loyal employees. Not to menation helping the less founate in our county.

Commissioners are up to their eyeballs on this one. Same for the Pinellas Co. aborted "stop accidental 911 calls" cell phone button guard pilot program. Take a look at www.stopaccidentalcalls.com

After years of fighting Pinellas County and its blatant, under-handed corruption, I sold all my private waterfront and commercial properties at the height of the real estate market in July - August of '05, then moved myself, my family and my entire company to Knoxville, TN.
No more Steve "Mini-Me" Spratt raising his pay exponentially on insanely increasing property taxes. No more "Bug-Eyes" Jewel White Cole and her boss Susan "Mini-Sasquatch" Churiti shaking down citizens over cutting down mangroves (it's an aquatic weed, for crissakes, not like California Cedars!! It'll grow back!!) behind their homes. No more hissy fits from Susan "Skreech" Latvala acting like Leona Helmsley (thank god she died today!) on public access TV. Here in the first, but soon to be accompanied, term-limited county (Knox) in the United States, I have found liberation.
Many of you poor sots stuck down there on the pimple of the country's hemmorhoid who have wanted to leave the tax & insurance nuttiness can't because of the real estate collapse that was significantly contributed to by the avaricious greediness displayed by crooks of the like mentioned above. I pity you all.
Now that the boondoggle has run dry, the Reavers in Pinellas County government have begun to devour themselves. This latest idiocy with Jim "The Gluton" Smith portends to have Mini-Sasquatch thrown under the bus. Yet, methinks she will resist and burn the house down if it comes to that. I can't wait, I can't wait!!
The only thing that can save their collective butts now is a good Cat. 5 hurricane. Although I have prayed for one to stike 315 Court Street for the past 2 years, I now ask god (and I don't mean the god of that SCI-FI ABOMINATION across the street dominating downtown Clearwater) to hold off so that Mr. Troxler and Co. can work their magic and you good people in Pinellas County can tar and feather the whole sordid lot of 'em.
Pray with me, folks. Pray with me.
