Deadly shooting in New Haven

My record is squeeky clean BUB - because my parents knew how to raise children - they didn't say do what you want and by the way go sell some drugs because mom needs more crack money and while your out beat up someone innocent and do a couple of drive by's - and didn't YO TEACHA' tell you not to write all in CAPS? and is "U" something like the english dictionary version "you"???- I learned that in Kindergarten and "my people" as you say are smart enough to stay away from street trash....

If the government was smart they'd airdrop thousands of Lorcins, Ravens and Jennings (ie. cheap, crappy pistols) into inner cities and let the low intelligence and inherently violent tendencies of the urban scum wipe each other out.

I didnt know Emilio like that but my bestfriend did and we always used to see him at the races, he was a likeable person,every one was friendly with him.its a shame how these things happen. i have friends living in fairhaven that dont even want to live there anymore because all the violence these past 2 weeks, when is this **** going to end.

Get mad, I am A Black Female who resides in the Heart of New Haven. I earn over $600, 000 a year. I have my Phd I am a Chemist and Chemical Engineer. Every race has flaws but since you took it there. Some white people kill their own families and commit suicide when life comes at them hard. We protect ours. Then your people are always commenting on black music because of the lyrics but what about some of the white music I have heard with lyrics talkig about suicide and killing parents and all that B.S.

First of all my Condolences...I am a advocate for the overall improvement of the City of New Haven, CT. It is true we do face a lot of Challenges and serious situations that have to be dealt with. But on the other side of the coin I do see things being put into place and people that are really dedicated and working extremely hard to make New Haven a better place to live, and to those people I say thank you for not giving up...

Your a PHD? You seem to not awakened and smell the coffee communities does play a role of how your child grows up to be is a very sad but logical reality .Don't blame the parents for it! As a single mom I moved from community to community trying to get the best environment to raise my kids .They graduated high school one became a paramedic and the other a CNA but it took me 8 different places to raised them right. Not everyone can afford to be moving specially with the economy the way it is .Unfortunately once your child is at an age that you cant control your done ! would you dare to go to Iraq and raise a child ?and not think that he wont end up with a gun in his hands someday? it wont matter if you took him to church everyday and prayed before dinner . The environment will raised your child not you this is a fact!

i work with chemical engineers, and not one makes 600,000K/year-i think you added one too many zero's on that salary! please, "we protect ours"!-- how?? whatever ya doing doesnt seem to be working, for your race, and for society! you want to educate your race, get involved with your community!i think PEOPLE have issues, not races!! so, stop blaming the white man! and please, blacks and hispanics have ALL the same opportunity as any other race- you got your education, didnt you??? and lastly, there are bad lyrics in plenty of "white music also, i do agree with that, but you cait say that rap or hip hop hasnt changed the game for the worst!! most kids nowadays have to look and speak like they hardcore, god forbid getting a education is the "in thing"

Brilliantly put, Mich! They can't make even a remotely logical comparison that can stand on its own merits. There is no one holding them down except their own attitudes and the culture that they've created for themselves and constantly feed and sustain. And it is sad, because they have SO much to offer in all realms --creativity, intelligence, ability, leadership..... But they've created and continue to feed this culture they cover themselves in and promote, that is a shielding and insulation to all that good that can arise!
