Today over ONE MILLION PEOPLE marched around the world against Proposition 8, Civil Rights, and Marriage Equality. The New Haven protest brought over 500 people. This rally was part of coordinated efforts around the nation (in every major American city, state capital) and countries around the world. LGBTQ and Allies are mobilizing a huge front.

On a personal note, Prop. 8 was wrong. Love is Love. Love makes family, and has nothing to with religion, but civil rights from the government. Connecticut now has gay marriage, but we cannot stop fighting for equality everywhere. The passage of Prop. 8 was due to deceiving tactics from the Church. The civil liberties of a minority cannot be outweighed by a majority. Imagine if a town in Mississippi in 1960 voted 51%-49% on lynching someone because of their race...does that make it right? Protection of civil rights and equality is something that makes this nation so great.

If we could ever be allowed to put questions on our ballots , The citizen of CT would toss this gay marriage crap in the toilet where it belongs.

But that would mean a fair fight. and the sicko's here and in CA don't like that becuase they would ose every single time!

You sound like a real moron. They DID add the question to the ballot. You obviously didn't vote. The question was should the state constitution be changed, which would have allowed a ban in CT. Connecticut voters by a majority voted NO, leave the constitution alone.

Maybe you should take a good long look in the mirror and ask yourself why you're so worried about what other consenting adults do, and why you have so much hate in your heart for people who never hurt you. You sound like a real loser.

I don't remember reading that line in the Bible, but I do remember reading however you judge another, you too will be judged. Is that what you meant when you tried inferring God hates sinners? Because you don't know God if that's what you think. Nor is it your place to even judge anyone else a sinner.

Protesting something that the public overwhelmingly for for? Isn't that what a democracy is all about - voting. The people have spoken and thats that!!

At least California residents had a vote to decide, unlike Connecticut where the courts rammed their pitiful decision down our throats. Thats democracy? You people should be happy you have what you have because if it were on the polls here in CT, it would have turned out like California. Quit your bellyaching and be happy!!

No, that's not that. That is why we have the judiciary: to prevent the tyranny of the majority.

To those opposed to marriage for all,
You give up your right to marry and I will give up the fight for all to have equal constitutional rights.
Try to feel what it would be like for you not to have the same rights as your peers.

Since flames can now get married , lets at least round them up like cattle and have them all live in one town. I vote for Greenwich. Also, since you can find out where sex offenders live, I think you should do the same with gays, so I know which neighborhood NOT to move my family into.Say all you want, but gay marriage is immorral.
Marriage = man + woman.

You are sick!!!! Sounds like you are a NAZI!
Don't F'n categorize gay people with SEX OFFENDERS! We are not committing ANY CRIME!! And Marriage is now OUR civil right and not just for man+woman.
As far as morality... I think you are a hypocrite.

Why are they protesting in Connecticut? They got what they wanted, the right to marry their partners so stop the protesting already! It is becoming annoying.

Try reading Genisis in the Bible. If God had been a little more thorough we wouldent have this problem with these sub humans today!!!

Your comments are all disturbing.

I dare you to look at your words and see any difference from hate speech of the last century. Just in the 1960s the same things were said, and illegal, about interracial couples. I hope your children survive your bigotry!

Why cant people just spread equality, civil rights, and the rights to love? CT has gay marriage now, and full protection under law for LGBTQ persons. However, this is not the case in every state in this nation. So people everywhere, gay and striaght, are marching (and will continue to march) to say DISCRIMINATION IS NOT OKAY and EQUALITY FOR EVERYONE in solidarity.

Interracial couples equaled a man and a woman marrying not two men or two women. I don't think you are ever going to get people to accept marriage between the same sex the way they have accepted marriage between a interracial couple.
