Only several needles? What's the big deal? Ever looked on the sand at pleasure beach in Bridgeport...you will find more crack viles and needles than there are drug dealers in bridgeport. Looks like Milford is feeling blight from its neighbor.

Does someone proof-read the online news items before they are posted? WTNH is a well known news station and spelling errors take away from the professionalism of it's workers. Rack instead of rake? It may be worthwhile to have someone proof-read the items, instead of using Spellcheck, as it doesn't catch everything.

Jason-- how do you get to Pleasure Beach in Bridgeport? I thought it was inaccessible [except by boat] since the bridge burned down some years ago.

I agree with the poster...who would want to swim in the sound. It's dirty and has jellyfish. Yuck. Give me a beach in Florida or the Caribbean any day.

Milford has a great coastline but the city and state really need to start to pay attention to the pollution problem and do something to clean it up before it gets worse.

I don't go to any of those beaches so I couldn't care less. Pile the syringes ten feet high on the beach. Who cares?

I totally believe that it was waste that washed ashore...I work at a beach along the sound and when there is higher then normal tides, many different things get left on the beach, it almost looks like a garbage barge dumped in the LI sound...syringes and trash galore...the beach I work @ rakes the beach on a daily basis so there is not much of a safety issue since by the time the beach is open, the sand is clean

Why is this news. People have been leaving and finding needles on beaches since the needle was invented. It is a daily occurance in many places.
