State and local police ought to crack down on pickup truck drivers. I've witnessed many who tailgate, change lanes without signaling and cut off those who don't get out of their way quick enough. Apparently, some also hit people on bikes. I hope that woman recovers fully and quickly.

That's right near Cosgrove Const. Odd that wasn't mentioned in the report.

That company's owner knew about the truck but said nothing. He also will only get little tap on the wrist and a slight warning.

Whats the name of the company? Or is it yet another protected contractor in the good old boy network. Maybe they don't want the public to know about yet another undocumented illegal driving/working for a construction company. Amazing this happened with all those Branford and East Haven cops standing around doing nothing while traffic backs up on Route 1. If this was some regular slob his name and photo would have been all over the news.

I know what you mean tho ....:) The reason I say that, first, why haven't they named the company or the driver yet? You would think by finger prints or someone coming froward they will find out, but we are not talking about the brightest people. Or what if he was driving illegally and people are willing to cover for him? I know, probably doubtful, but who knows.
