Why would you need windshield washer fluid heated anyways? I thought it didn't freeze.

1 Heating it would allow it to melt the ice better so you dont have to scrape it off. ordinary fluid, once sprayed on ice usually ends up freezing (somewhat) with the ice. Also, on very cold days, washer fluid will freeze in a thin layer once sprayed on the window and wiped across it. I would think heating it would reduce this. Also once you have your car warmed up and the heat going, this should no longer happen anyway because your windshield heats up from the heat in the car. |

American Made vehicles or not? Just curious?

And they wonder why no one buys American. My last American car was a GMC, which was a piece of junk. The dealership where I bought it from was even worse. No more American cars for me. Just bought a new Nissan and a Honda.

Hey Sean - good luck with your Japanese products -
NEWS: Honda recalling 353,000 Accord sedans . Honda recalling 353,000 Accord sedans over corrosion in the windshield wiper motor Nissan is recalling 169,202 of the 2007 and 2008 model year ... Just Google your beloved maker's name with the word "recall" and see what you get... |

Hey I own 4 hondas and ill tell you I rather have a car with bad corrosion OR BAD WIPERS that fire flyin out the hood :-) |
|
People look good in Hondas pulling into the unemployment office... Jap cars are good on gas because they are light. As soon as they try to make a bigger vehicle the milage goes down like any other auto maker. Put a bunch of weight in your little car and watch the engine failures you will have. |

1) Feb 29, 2008 ... the Acura recall involves underhood fire.... 2) Suit Charges Honda Conceals Fire Risk in CR-V, Element Models Again, a simple google search will do ya... |

Yeah but unfortunately they (jap) cars are more reliable and even if the American cars are now made more reliable once you have had a bad one that's it they have lost a customer.

My last Honda went 310,000 miles with very little trouble. Never got that from a chevy. I quit buying domestics in the 80's when the last chevy started losing paint in year one and GM nor the dealer would cover it. I soon traded it for a Honda and never looked back and never will look back. Besides most GMs look the same and are horse butt ugly.

freakin stupid feature to have on a truck, unless you put water in there.

I thought they were "professional grade people"? HUH, screw GM and screw Ford...oh thanks for the Ford Fukus aka Focus....go down in flames....

I am convinced it is all in how you treat and maintain your vehicle. I have a 8 year old Chevie Venture, high mileage, used as a work van. I have tried to maintain it as the book indicates. It still runs as good as it did the day I bought it, 22mpg. Prior to that I had a 93 Plymouth Sundance, that thing went over 300,000 miles with no problems what so ever.

The Big 3 auto makers in Detroit are tanking. Gee, I wonder why? They haven't changed one iota in their thinking, both in design and market demand. I hope they go down it flames big time especially GM. They deserve it.

1 I'd sing their praises too if I'd overpaid mucho $ for a German piece of dung. Check out the JD Powers site and be amazed how chevy, buick, cadillac, ford, mercury, lincoln and EVEN HYUNDAI have fewer problems than BMW. |

Oooh! Oooh! Someone from California has an opinion! Did the doobie go out and you got bored? Kudos for actually being able to type - you must not be a native empty head? |

|
My old 3.8 Liter chevy did 350k until I sold the thing, May I add it had no major work done to it. Its all in how you drive and maintain your car. |
