I feel for the truckers and all families who are struggling to survive! I do not sleep at night worrying about how to pay the bills. We shell out over 600.00 a month for gas and forget oil, we spent the winter very cold. This year ther will be no vacations, no extra anything! Something has to change or this nation will become the land of the poor instead of the free!

The whole country needs to shut down for the day. The price of diesel, gas, home heating oil and other utilities are outrageous and there is no justification for it. We should not have to work our **** off every day so Bush and his friends in the oil companies and the terrorist states that he supports like Saudi Arabia can make huge profits off working class Americans. Exxon Mobil made $40.1 BILLION in profits 2007! Now the government is going to put executives from the oil companies in front of congress like they did 2 years ago to ask them what justification they have for oil being so high, I’m sure just like 2 years ago they will not be under oath so when they lie to congress like they did 2 years ago, they can not be charged with perjury. This is by far the worst president and most corrupt congress that this country has ever seen and they have given thieves the key to the front door.

Way to go!! Park them rigs. I feel for ya's. Though I personally don't drive I know some that do and have a few drivers in the family. When its costing these guys $700+ to fill up its not worth it anymore. Thanks to Bush the economy is like this. Figure someones pockets have to get lined with green and its non of us.
Get a convoy started and head straight at DC and get someone to listen. If all the trucks just stopped for a day, america would be screwed.
Oh, yeah its still "land of the free" if your not a US citizen or someone working in the goverment where everything is free.

Wow, I can't wait to be on the highway today, in the rain, with no speeding trucks!! You mean I can drive 60 or 65 mph, and no big rig blowing by me in the right lane doing 75 approaching an onramp full of cars!!!! And best of all, with the rain and all, no jack-knifed rig to delay my afternoon commute either!!!!!! It's a miracle!!!!!

Not only should they do 45 mph, they should block the parking areas where all of our elected officials park. Fuel prices are insane. Our elected officials must all have plenty of money because none of them seem to be too upset with the price of fuel.

Keep voting for people who outlawed drilling in our own country. You all got what you deserve.. We cannot drill within 250 miles of our coast.. No more Alaska drilling.. Can't get the shale in The Mid-west. Not one refinery built in over 30 years. Keep voting for Dodd and Liberman..

I agree with Mike G, the roads will easier to drive! I am a bit confused, wasn't there a stroy not that long ago about how we were already going to be paying more for things like milk, eggs, bread and the rest of out groceries because of the price of fuel and the cost of trucking it? What are they trying to prove here? Parking the fuel consuming vehicles for a day won't help, what ever money wasn't spent that day will only be made up the next day or the next few to follow. I'm not sure what the answer is, but this action confuses me as I said earlier.
