who gives a ****? seriously. The ACLU is full of **** too. I guess that is what happens when you graduate at the bottom of a 4th tier law school. You end up wasting your time defending people that society wish did not exist. give yourself a pat on the back !!! you suck

Or he's just a moron. Let him starve. He can become a martyr for rapists everywhere.

let the skid starve. instead of defending this waste of life, the ACLU should use its powers to help the victim of a horrible crime. Reward the scumbag, forget the victim---typical ACLU

matbe they should have the same diet for all convics, it would save us all a lot of money in taxes but then we would have to pay for something else like illegals. But I'm sure that this man will become a god. Noone evers learn, if they did a crime they have no rights again when are people going to learn.

Let him starve to death. Think of it as a form of Darwinism.

Comparing Ghandi to a rapist, thats nice. The only thing the state should feed this guy is some rat poison right down his throat. Screw the feeding tube, that procedure would cost thousands. When he is done with his sentence he should be immediately taken to and airport where his first real meal will be crappy airline food while his skinny deported a** is flying home.

Let's think this through - the ACLU thinks he should be allowed to starve himself. If they get their way and this guy actually dies, I'll bet his family will sue the state for allowing him to starve himself to death!

Ridiculous.

If he wants to die - fine so be it thats his choice, but think about this for just a moment , many citizens get convicted every day of things that they did not do. Yes, that seems to be the American way and look at us all - aren't we quick to judge without kniowing all the facts. I don't know the facts of the case, so I do not feel it's approporiate for me to judge...

Thank you Ummmm I was thinkingthe same thing.
For those who may think he is innocent - I do not know enough about the case to disagree, BUT if there was enough of a "reasonable doubt" I am sure that the ACLU or other such group would NOT be making an issue out of the hunger strike, INSTEAD there would be a retrial, appeal, etc...

Also given what the ACLU has become, I am sure that if there was any type of doubt, the ACLU would go after the state for false imprisonment, so this guy is more than likely guilty.

Thus we should make him sign a release that states that he wishes to continue a risky behavior and his estate releases the state from any harm. Should he not sign, force feed him and shove the contract up the other end.

The ACLU wishes to put the stste, ultamately YOU & I in a catch 22 - we violate his right to die, he sues us, we allow him his right and his eatate sues us!
