Montville High School vandalized after renovation

Hopefully they make the jerk who did it pay for the damage. Then once they pay for it, off to jail they go!

I think thats sad to have anyone for any reason damage a school. I am alumni at MHS 1992. None of class would ever think about doing something like that.

That is really disgusting. All that time and money to have students enjoy new stuff, and someone comes along and ruins it.

Just goes to prove, most of todays youth, even though he is 19, have absolutely NO respect for other's property. Hope his butt is thrown in jail, and if he works, his wages are used to pay for it all to be fixed!

Vandalism is so pathetic. That's how they named barbarians. What a loser. I doubt they taught that at Montville's alternative school. They should send him to vandalize a mine field.

It's appalling that someone would do this. The only good thing is he is an adult and will be punished as an adult! So many kids under 18 vandalize things around the state and all they get is a slap on the wrist.

He may have been angry at all the renovation performed on the High School he was not able to attend. I wonder what the Alternative High School is like in comparison?

I am a resident of Montville. I am furious at this person for the damage he caused. I want to see him work 2 or 3 jobs at $3.00 an hour to pay the entire amount back starting immediately. And then go to jail for a few years. Sick and tired of these kids getting off too easy. Hopefully, our court system will work quickly and throw the
book at him.

The kid & his damn parents should pay.........put a friggin lien on thier damn house.......

unfortunately he is 19, so his parents wouldn't be responsible.

I understand your anger, but it's unfair to say "most of today's youth" have no respect for others' property. You can't make such a blanket statement without facts. Besides, there are adults who litter and ding others' cars in parking lots without giving a second thought to whose neighborhood they are trashing or car they damaging.

If his daddy bought him some Choo-Choo's when he was young ,this would have never happened Choo-Choo's make you mellow and you never want to stop playing Amtrak worker

With all the budget cuts going on in the school districts this is disgusting. Unfortunately if this is his first offense he'll get accelerated probation. But he should be made to pay it back

here is a perfect example how well the alternative schools work, I worked in one for many years and its a waste of time, 85% or more of those kids end up being criminals. There has to be another way to educate them in a stricter envt. so that they don't do any damage when they graduate and appreciate their education. School boards should look into alternative solutions to alternative schools because again its a shelter for criminals.

Sorry, but most of the time when things are vandalized, it is teens. We have seen school buses, cemetery stones, etc. trashed, and 90% of the time it is kids. If they are that bored, get them 2 jobs, maybe it will keep their minds off destroying other peoples property!

Montville Alternative is just Prep School for future prisoners. Hopefully Mr. Lewis will be admitted to his "college" of choice for this. No doubt they won't have a chance at collecting so much a s a percent of these damages from this waste of flesh, or his family. Alt high kids are almost always from poor and/or broken homes. But he needs to do some serious jail time... no probation or community service junk. In a time when government is pressed between growing costs and a need to control tax growth, some rubbish like this is the last thing the people of Montville need. I hope he's spat upon everywhere he goes in town for the cost he incurred on the TAXPAYERS... the people who actually pay for all this!
