This is going to be great! Wish I had more advance notice though. I can sell hot dogs and cold drinks. I'f I had a week I could have come up with some t-shirts or maybe souvenir garden hoses.

Did they catch him on tape too? I didn't see that news bit. But you bring up a good point, this organization is for the "Advancement" of colored people. If they really wanted that then maybe they'd be out marching for kids to stay in school, quit the gangs, stop starting families they can't raise, get off public assistance, turn off their booming car stereos, stop dressing like a crook, and speak real english not ebonics. Maybe, just maybe, they'd then get a little more respect and start to advance. Long shot we'll see that in our lifetime so the NAACP just looks to advance their political agendas and silly situations into courtrooms for settlements.

It does seem a bit ridiculous that he was arrested for stealing a garden hose! I mean, what does a hose cost? There has to be more to this story. Sounds like this man maybe did something wrong, but did his fellow officers (possibly white, prejudice officers) overreact and arrest him for something that any other officer would have gotten a slap on the wrist for? Seems to me like we are once again wasting our tax dollars on stupid charges, and giving extremist groups like the NAACP more fuel for their already-too-big fire.

There is definately more going on here then we know.

I seriously can't believe all this Media attention, and NAACP attention over a garden hose.

Something isn't being told to the general public, and I seriously doubt any cop washes his car. I see plenty of Ansonia's finest cars, and unless we have a really long rain storm, the cars are NOT that clean! Plus the parking area of the Ansonia station really isn't very big, so don't ask me where he even had the room to wash his car.

Something smells fishy to me in this case.
