Hi,... my name is Gary. I was injure in 2001 but was able to keep working until May of last year. I signed up for Social Security Disability benefits about a couple months after that date, when my Nuerosurgeon and Doctors said I couldnt work any longer. I have the best Nuerosurgeon in the State,(Dr. Stephen Lange), that has written letters stating that Im totally disabled. I take large amounts of Morphine daily for the pain and due to unable to work set me in a depression that Im now also getting medication.
The S.S. dept has a 3 time hearing on each case. The first 2 are from any employee of the S.S.dept., and the third is from a judge. Each time can take a year to get an answer. In that time a person goes homeless.I got denied by the Social Security on the first time in which it goes to the next stap, which Im still on at this time. Im still waiting the answer to this time around. I have been borrowing money fro friends, and family and chewed up my savings and sold everything I had.
Could you please help me before I end up on the streets unable to walk and in a shelter.
When a person has documented proof from a reliable top notch Doctor such as me, they should automatically give you your benefits that I have paid into all my life and Im 48 now. I, or anybody that has a Renowned Doctor such as myself shouldnt have to wait for their benefits.
This is what causes most of your homelessness.--Could you please help me get my benefits before I end up on the streets in a wheelchair.
Thank-you & God Bless,
Sincerely,
Gary Stager

Group serves more breakfasts to homeless
It's another sign of these tough economic times. A New London church is serving more breakfasts to the needy than ever before.
