Gangs
• Only 10 percent of youth gang members are white.
• Hispanics are 19 times more likely than whites to be members of youth gangs.

Incarceration

to 482 per 100,000, and the number of prisoners increased from 320,000 to 1.39

I would also like to add something for the "white males are the child molesters" crowd. According to the most recent FBI uniform crime statistics, white males are responsible for 48% of all sex crimes and black males are responsible for 48.1% of all sex crimes. Given the huge gap in total population percentage, I would say that black males lead the way by far.

I agree! We don't have any black members and we love, caress, and care for our boys that we choose to spend time with.

The numbers are NOT wrong. They mirror virtually exactly the Justice Department and FBI crime statistics. Those stats are available online at the FBI and Justice Department sites, which are open to the public.

We have 2 million + people in prison today for drug related offenses. Prison only creates "better" criminals. So, I suspect those crime statistics will get much worse as more of these people are released into the general population.
It's not race that causes this criminality. If you incarcerated 1 in 4 white males in the prison system for mandatory sentences for smoking POT or METH!! You would see whites becoming much more violent as well.(Half of the people posting on here are probably getting high as we speak!)
But, I definitely understand why people would want to say instead that crime is increasing because blacks are not human. It fits the notions you have already. So be it. I hope people start saying this more so we can finally address the evils of mandatory sentences for non-violent crimes. As you can see those laws are just destroying the black community, as they already have; they are starting to affect our whole society.
I don't think you're racist at all, you're just ignorant.
If white males were getting incarcerated at this rate for their drug use you would be up in arms claiming that its in human to treat people this way in America. But, people have turned a blind eye as this has happened to young black men. Even our President has done cocaine. He didn't have to spend his most productive years in prison for it. He got to attend Princeton instead! But, it okay that a young black person who I guess in your mind probably wouldn't amount to anything anyway spent those years locked away for the same offense.

yeah scott people don't want to face the truth. that includes you. look at all the stats and it will tell you it is almost even. look at other statistics like workplace killings, poisionings, sex related killings, family killings, intimate killings, and yes, even gang related, whites lead in all of those catagories. your stats my not be wrong, but the way you report them are skewed to reflect what you want them to.

Still the highest crime numbers remain that the race of the offender and victim is the same. And while this is no excuse, alot of the violent crime commited by blacks are drug related. and all the numbers here show that you are more likely to be the victim of a friend as opposed to the victim of a stranger, so for all the white people out there afraid of blacks, or pointing out that blacks are the problem in this society, you need to make sure you lock you bedroom doors because you are more like to be killed by a family member than the black man sharing the elevator with you.
