What does this destruction accomplish? What are the chances of a video security camera recording the event and the police catching those involved? Would they get a speedy trial?

I wouldn't be surprised if they were already planning on closing, and this was their out. Do you know how bad it would look, if they closed due to teachers not getting paid? Now they are closing because it's been broken in to..They get to save face...Any parent that plans on their child going there next year, might be in for a shock come August. I would be calling to check the enrollment of the private schools near by.

Who exactly was supposed to be at the school to meet the accredidation team, if the owner is out of town? Parents?
Did she already know she was going to fail?

This school has been providing quality education since 1954. I moved to Jacksonville in 1971 and at that time "ACDS" was a better then our public school to attend. Arlington was the place to live. I am sorry that the school and the area of town have fallen on hard times.

Please...after the current owners took over it became ACBS, Arlington Country Basketball School. How does the "owner/principal" not show up for an accreditation meeting? This is way too long in coming. Family emergency? If you read the story on Jacksonville.com , her brother said that all in the family is fine and that he had not spoken to her in over a year. I'm ready for all of you ACDS apologists now.

The article fails to mention the substitute teachers who are still waiting on checks also. They owe me quite a bit of money and I am getting the craziest run around story every time that I call. Not once have I been offered a partial cash payment like the teachers supposedly got. I am so frustrated with how they are handling this situation. Dishonest, unorganized, just all together very shady.

The Florida Times-Union has the facts that make this story stink to high heaven.

So, did she meet these people for the meeting today, or not? Her attorney seems sure she was going to meet with them.

Sounds like this school is going down.

I feel bad for the affected families, but if I were in their shoes, I'd be looking for a new school this summer.

how could someone do this my little girl goes there grant i will be moving her next year but still did who ever think this was funny to interupt little childrens education over madness just because the principle has let all this become an uproar who ever did this should be ashamed they have now caused the school to shut down and has made it very uncomfortable for me to send my elementry student there in fear that something may happen to my child.

Two of my children graduated from there, 2000 and 2002. Both have gone on to be productive in their lives, but not because of the school. Debra Litchward is a mean woman.

One would like to think that this school will remain open. However, it seems that history shows that when a group of people are reacting as these are, they are going to close, they are just keeping it from the general employees. Been there and experienced this type of thing.
The principle may have a family emergency which no one would like to wish on any one. The community will just have to wait and see when she returns. Good luck to the students and employees of the school and hope those that caused the damage are caught.
