Happy 50th!
Television is a great thing.
I have seen much histroy. I am 50 years old.
I remember being let out of school early when JFK was shot.
I remember the Vietnam war.
I remember Governor Wallace running for president.
I remember Watergate and Nixon resigning.
I remember watching Neal Armstrong set foot on the moon.
I remember seeing a Georgia peanut farmer become president.
I remember the bad days when Iranians took American hostages.
I remember America's greatest president , of my lifetime, saying "Mr. Gorbachev, tear down this wall"!
I will never forget the worst event of my lifetime. I will never forget the 911 terrorist attack on the World Trade Center. My heart and prayers go out for those unfortunate victims in New York City.

Happy 50th Channel 12!!!I remember as a child, having my Bluebirds troop <which is like Girl Scouts today> invited on to the Popeye's Pals show, hosted by Skipper Ed and Bozo the clown. What wonderful childhood memories of that day and all the other days watching your channel as a child.

Anyway that you can put some meorible phots, film clips and sound bites together over the past 50 years.....its a blast at our age,(over 50) to go stroll back dowm memory lane. Your audience young and old would appreciate this. Thanks and we hope you have 50 more great years, you are a fixture in our home!

I can remember as a child having to go outside and turn the TV antenna toward Jacksonville so that we could watch channel 12. We could turn it one way to watch Channel 12 or another way to watch a Savannah station. Back then we had limited choices, but today, even with the many choices that cable TV offers, Channel 12 is still the one that I prefer. You have the best program line up and news coverage. Thanks for always being there.

I remember when Channel 12's company bought Channel 25 and put us all out in the street. Good times... good times.
Thanks Channel 12!

There were two tragic events that your news team covered with dignity and grace!
The first story involved the USS Stark in May 1987. I have a friend whose husband survived the attack only because he went up to the brow a few minutes before missile hit the side of the ship.
The second story was September 11. 2001. For weeks you held our hands and our hearts, through your reporting, caring and compassion for your fellow man.

Don't care much about a TV stations anniversary...everyone has anniversaries. BUT, I would like to thank First Coast News for giving it's net readers the opportunity to respond to news events. It's great to be able to read other peoples opinion on news. It gives you a better understanding and the emotional pulse of the community.

I remember as a child being on the Popye & Bozo Show. I was also on the Ranger Hal Show. It was very surprising to see the cartoons on a TV just like at home. As a child I'm not sure what I expected to see in the studio, but it was indeed very different. Now I am involved in the Video Ministry at my church. Maybe that's what started my interest. "Channel 12" has always been my favorite news show to watch. We almost feel like the family with the news team. Thanks for all you do for our community.

I love your news cast. Your anchors just seem alot younger and more full of life than the other news station's crews. Here's to another 50 years.

I remember the Popeye and Bozo show and all the kids getting to go and they did roll you said your name and who you wanted to say hello to. Also Ranger Hal Show my younger brother loved that show and got to meet Ranger Hal and thought it was a really big deal to meet someone that was on TV.
