For the last comment, I have seen the programs you saw and you are wrong. For Cindy, i do feel what you are saying. I am sorry for the loss of your friend. I truly do. But she is remorseful. Does this mean they should let her go? No it does not, but people do make mistakes and no matter what anyone says, there is a single one of us that cannot reach a snapping point. It is sad for the victoms and her families. The entire situation is bad.

I watched Women on Death Row earlier and saw Crista's interview. i agree that she doesnt seem at all sorry or remorseful for wht she did and she came off as a very unfeeling person. i didnt see the interview or whatever in which she stated that she would do it again, but i dont find it at all hard to believe. however, i agree with her that she shouldnt pay for the other two people, either. the guy she killed the girl for should both be in jail, too since he took part in it. also, i think that death row is letting her off too easy.especially since she asked for it. in my opinion, they should never excecute her just because she wanted it. and keeping her secluded is the best thing, too esp. since she tried to kill jones while she was in jail. she obviously knew what she was doing and she seems like shes proud of what she's done. its sick.

In the show "Women Behind Bars: Tennessee Womens Prison" she told how she tried to strangle the inmate.
Another inmate was fighting and held inmate, Christa see's all this, grabs a draw string and wraps it around the inmates neck, till she was no longer conscience. The whole time she told this, she was smiling.
Very Very disturbed.

"See what I get for trying to be nice to that hoe by bashing her brains out so she could die fast and theyr're gonna F***ing fry me" Pikes letter to her boyfriend whether you believe it or not she knew what she was doing even had a plan and was not sorry for it. By the way I had a terrible childhhod of drugs, abuse, foster homes liquor and sex. And i saw my mother be stabbed to death when I was 14 and I'm not a killer! don't use childhood as an excuse she made her choice as an adult plus her mom was trying to help her by sending her to job corps and her mom looks pretty clean cut middle class to me... she deserves to die like yesturday...

Mandy from shreveport you asked what about the victims family but you failed to ask about pikes family. To start off she was molested before she could even talk and she was raped at least three times before she turned 17. Her parents showed a flagerent disreguard for the law and smoked marijuanna with her amoung participating in other illegal actities with her. Her mother had many boyfriends who either beat or molested her regularly. Whenever her mother was tired of her she sent her to live with another family member which combined with all of the other factors lead to ms pike to develop a mental disorder that both the defense and the prosecution failed to bring up until after she was senatnced to death. I know you will say that you cant just use hard times as an excuse but when it affects her ability to reason and see the extent of her actions it should have been heard by the jury. Ms. Pike's mental disorder should not free her from any wrong doing but in this country, with the exception of texas who executes shoplifters, capital punishment is reserved for people who commit the worst acts of evil possible. Due to ms. pike's inability to understand the gravity of what she was doing the death penalty should not be used on her. I guarentee that had the jury heard the evidence i heard while watching a post conviction hearing they would not have considered death but settled very appropriatly on a life sentance without the possibility of parole as she deserves. She commited a sick and twisted crime you were correct, but how can she be put to death when she couldnt even comprehend the severity of her actions?(I ommited some of the more graphic details in respect to those who, like myself, would rather not hear them; but i assure you she did not have a full understanding of the situation)

I always think about what if this was my child,i think i would feel that it was my falt for not getting her the help she needed when she was young. If the mother had then this would not have happened.

I find it amazing that child molesters, rapists, and others get a few years, and then back on the street to do it again. Christa is guilty, and was given the death sentence for her crime. I do not think she will ever be executed for this crime. The best thing to do is change her sentence to life without the possibility of parole, let Colleen's family bury all of her, and allow Christa to fade away out of the news. The more she is the youngest person on death row, the more this case is brought back to the spotlight.

I agree with Kimmy :

and the more credit christa gets.

its not fair to Colleen's family.

I work at TPW and I feel that any type of conversation about christa Pike is a waste of time. Christa is doing her time for the crime(s) she has commited. Do you honestly know that she gets a kick out of knowing you people still talk about her good or bad.Yes, she acts sweet when you talk to to her,but you should never forget what she is ....She is Evil ....A monster in her own right. so please Christa gets enough attention from stupid corrections officers who have lost jobs and family doing unexceptable things with her.

Remorse? Christa has also been convicted of trying to murder another inmate in prison. C'mom people...this sick person has no remorse or regret. She is a sociopath. If she were ever released, she would most certainly kill again. Execution or Life....she should NEVER be set free and 23 hours in a cell per day is 1 hour too few.
