He stated that they had miss calculated the over crowding in the jail but I know from an inside source at the jail that is not true. The jail is approx. 900 inmates over what it is suppost to hold. Also the jail is running shifts that are short staffed now and if the budget is cut any further that means what staff they do have will not be able to cover the short fall. This means that every officer in the jail will be in grave danger. If the Sheriff needs money for these new officers I say cut the fat at the top administrative level and keep the patrol cars in the garage when officers are not on duty.
